We recently bid a fond farewell to our brilliant choral scholars and organ scholar as they leave Sherborne to head off to university.

Our scholars work as part of a collaborative scheme with Sherborne Boys, running now for twenty-two years and set up in 2004 by Jamie Henderson.

Lucas Selby-Jerrold leaves us to study Engineering at the University of Exeter. Finlay Lyall goes on to study the Double Bass at the Royal College of Music in London. Our organ scholar Joshua O’Neill goes on to read Music at Exeter College Oxford, as their organ scholar. Sebastian Young leaves us to study Music at Durham University.

We are still looking for a Graduate or Gap Year Choral Scholar (tenor) for September 2026.

Worth £18,000. Accommodation provided.

At the end of another fantastic choir year, we would like to say a huge thank you to every member of Sherborne Abbey Choir for their commitment and dedication to our worship.

We are always so grateful for the support of our brilliant parents, as well as the wider congregation of Sherborne Abbey.

Wishing everyone a restful and very happy summer break, and we look forward to more exciting music-making in September.
