At the end of our first fortnight of Month of Art we spent the weekend changing everything to bring you wonderful new work for the rest of November (we close on the 30th)

Our artists have focused on showing very affordable art - with both Christmas and the budget in mind! Do come and see our new work and if you are free enjoy it with a glass of Pilton cider on Friday 31st 6-9.

First, second or even third visit - we’d love to see you!

Friday and Saturday morning last chance to see the current exhibition by 20 local artists …on Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday we will be hanging new work by our artists.

Hoping you can beat the rain and pop in to see us before we change and also hoping you will come to Launch 2 on 21st to see exciting new work while enjoying a glass of Pilton cider.

“Anna’s passion for drawing started at primary school, due to the extreme boredom experienced during maths lessons. She further developed her skills when she discovered, and felt fascinated by, the Classical World, and the proportions and anatomy of human figure. Deeply influenced by Surrealism, she uses the boredom of daily life to dive inside of herself and bring to light the strange creatures that dwell in her subconscious mind.”

Anna’s new work is on show at the Shepton Artists ‘Month of Art’ exhibition held at 8 Town Street, BA45BG. The exhibition is open 10am-4pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday throughout November.

Month of Art in Shepton Mallet. We are waiting to greet you to show the work of 20 local artists. We would even like you to buy a card, a pot or a painting and have wonderful work to tempt you.

No need to buy though just come and view and chat. It’s good to meet so many people we know and to get to know many we have never met before. Shepton is all about community and this exhibition is for everyone.

Hi, I’m Steve. I hike, cycle, birdwatch, collect fossils and stare through telescopes and other lenses. All of this gives me a deep love of the natural world which I try to portray through drawing and painting. “Beauty is truth, truth beauty – that is all Ye know on Earth, and all ye need to know.”

Steve’s work will be on show at the Shepton Artists ‘Month of Art’ exhibition held at 8 Town Street, BA45BG. The exhibition will be open 10am-4pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday throughout November.

So much wonderful support setting up the Month of Art exhibition! (The glue has now stuck and we have released our supporters.
We have been bowled over by the support from the 20 artists, their friends and families and the whole town as we prepare to bring art and fun to our lovely town. Hard to find anywhere else with such a special community spirit.

We love you Shepton and look forward to sharing a glass of Prosecco with you when we launch the Shepton Artists exhibition on Thursday 6th November 6-9. See you there!

A great team of artists preparing the space at Create@ #8,Town Street for our Month of Art exhibition
Paintings, Ceramics and cards to be displayed next and then the Prosecco and glasses ready for the launch on Thursday 6th November 6-9 when we will be supported by the shops in Town Street and Market Place opening to the sound of music in Market Place.
So hoping you will come to enjoy the art and fun to make all the scrubbing worthwhile!
