So grateful that the studio space is not only warm in winter (thanks to our infrared heaters and sheepskins ❤️) … but also super cool in summer with our cold terrazzo flooring, shade, fan and iced drinks. 🩵

It was a haven today for everyone who joined us and for us to work in too. It was so much cooler in the studio than anywhere else! 🙌

Chatted a lot about Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and how important it is for us to provide a comfortable space for people to gather in and be able to learn. It really counted today. 🩵

So glad to be able to keep going for everyone who came… it wasn’t even just a full house - we even had extra people join us to get out of the heat! 😎 👍

We are 🩵OPEN🩵 this week with our groups, workshops and courses as planned as the studio is actually a very cool space- noticeably as you enter the building on the ground floor. 😎😉 Really though, the old terrazzo floor keeps the room temperature down. 🩵

We can provide chilled iced drinks, shade, plus a fan and the flooring helps keep things nice & cool. 🩵

So stay safe, keep cool and connected and we hope you can escape the heat to join us here soon. 🙌

LIMITED SPACES - Meet other parents with babies! These tutored sessions are an opportunity, for parents and carers, to spend time with like minded people and take part in creative projects. Tap into your creativity... & baby comes along for the ride. ❤️

The first year of having a new baby can be a roller coaster and this class offers a consistent creative outlet to keep you going through the ups and downs of that first year. Peer support and mindful activity are so valuable and there is plenty of it to be found here each week. ❤️

Fun, creative, art & craft projects are suitable for all abilities. We also have a coffee bar with fruit and herbal cordials, teas and coffees plus cakes (with dairy and gluten free options) as well as parking and ample room for buggies, breastfeeding and baby changing facilities. ❤️

Activities so far have included contemporary stitched embroidery hoops, modern calligraphy, textile projects, lino cutting and printmaking, pom pom wreaths, handmade wooden mobiles, collage and book binding with a variety of new creative projects planned. ❤️

✨STAINED GLASS MIRROR✨. DAY WORKSHOP

Following the success of our previous stained glass courses, and due to popular demand, we have great pleasure in offering you this new course... Learn to make your own unique and original stained glass mirror with Stained Glass Artist Freya Kingsley from North View Glass. Aimed at beginners or those who have started stained glass and want to expand, practice and develop their existing knowledge and skills, this day-long workshop will give you the skills needed to make your original piece using traditional methods and materials.

You will learn how to translate a design into a stained glass cartoon (pattern). We will then use copper foil and teach you to cut glass and solder, all tools and materials are included. You will go home with a small stained mirror of your chosen geometric design in this informative and comprehensive one day workshop. A creative, positive and uplifting way to start your weekend and enjoy the sunshine as we move into the summer months.

Tea and cake included and bring a packed lunch. We very much hope you can join us and look forward to seeing you!

Join us in this pottery masterclass to perfect the art of coil building and create a beautiful hand coiled vase at the studio. We are delighted to welcome Mark Boyce, for our series of Pottery Masterclasses, in which we will be working closely with potters and ceramicists to showcase pottery and ceramics skills to help you develop your own practice.

Mark Boyce is a renowned ceramic artist known for his captivating hand-carved creations inspired by nature, figurative elements, and patterns. With a background in fine art sculpture and interior design, Mark’s artistic journey has been characterised by creativity, innovation, and a deep love for working with clay. He will be sharing his wealth of knowledge and valuable tips through demonstrations so you can learn how to coil build step by step.

Enjoy the benefits of creativity for well-being and learn and develop creative pottery skills. Once you have been introduced to coil building processes and techniques you can use our studio pottery facilities to perfect and develop your skills further. Ask during the workshop for further information.
