One Craft Gallery, Shepton Mallet Co-operative gallery selling work of local artists and makers. Artworks, ceramics, pottery, wood, hats, 5 jewellers, prints, cards, textiles, glass.

One Craft Gallery is different from most other shops and galleries that you will find on the high street. It is a cooperative, stocked, staffed and run by a small group of local artists and makers. Whenever you enter the shop you will be served by one of the makers whose work is in the shop. This provides you with a valuable opportunity to talk to them about what they do and to build relationships

with those members in whose work you are interested. The members of the cooperative assess the quality of the work of anyone who applies to join the group or to exhibit within the shop. This provides you with a guarantee that the work is of good quality. Guest exhibitors will supplement the wide range of products on display on a regular basis. We have five jewellery designer/makers with contemporary, original and handmade work.

How time flies… it was the Sunday before last I took this workshop! A fun day as usual as everyone made their leather (or cork!) wraparound journal and sewed it together with this clever diamond stitch from the wonderful Keith A Smith book. I’ve put a couple of mine in the One Craft Gallery, Brigit Lilley, where I’ll be tomorrow if anyone wants to pop in and say hello!
