The Players at STMA

The Players at STMA Amateur Dramatics group based at the STMA in shefford. The Players meet every Monday evening at 7.30pm at the STMA, 10 Hitchin Road, Shefford. Interested?

Membership is free and we welcome people 18 years and over who have an interest in amateur theatricalities , whether it be on stage or off indulging in all areas of theatrical performances, set building, costumes, directing, acting, make-up, song and dance. Or even helping front of house serving tea/coffee. We very much look forward to meeting you. Karen Mitchell (Players Secretary).

One of Charles Dicken’s ageless classics comes to life on the stage in this fun for all the family production. Scrooge a mean penny pinching money lender is about to receive a wake- up call, as four ghosts try to show him the error of his ways as they reveal to him the true meaning of Christmas. Can they succeed in their mission? Or will Tiny Tim’s cry of “God bless us everyone” fall on deaf ears? The answer to these questions can be found at the STMA Digswell Main Hall, 10 Hitchin Road, Shefford SG17 5JA on Saturday 6th & 13th December with performances at 3pm & 7.30pm

The Players at STMA know there will be a lot of V,E 80th Anniversary events this year as the 75th in 2020 was muted by the global lockdown.
The Players have commemorated V.E Day with a show every 5 years since 1985.
This will be the last one the Players present on Saturday 10th May 2025 at The STMA Hall, 10 Hitchin Road, Shefford SG17 5JA. at 3pm & 7.30pm. Tickets £10, £6 Concessions on sale NOW at www.ticketsource.co.uk/themeppershallplayers
With street party style tabled seating we encourage you to bring your own picnic lunch to the matinee performance, and supper to the evening performance for the interval.
