It's not just a Bank Holiday Weekend, it's "Sleaze" Bank Holiday Weekend!

Open from 4pm today, and 2.30pm on Saturday and Sunday, and we are fully expecting to make full use of our Licence all 3 days (3am Fri and Sat, and 2am Sunday), so plenty of time to join us after bands finish.

We don't serve "food", so if you are after something more substantial than one of our Pot Noodles, you are very welcome to bring food in with you - depending on the time of day, we have Greggs, Maccy D's, Wendys, German Donna Kebab and KFC all within striking distance, as well as Sainsburys etc...

We are very much looking forward to seeing all our "Out-of-town" Regulars, as well as, of course, everyone we see on a more regular basis :-)

These guys are an established band who have played extensively in Birmingham but are new in Sheffield - they just decribed themselves to me as "We play high energy punk style s**t mixed with shoegazey stuff, eclectic as f**k but energetic" and "if Lamb of God and American football met somewhere in the middle!" So no idea, but sounds interesting to me! 😂

I DON'T BELIEVE ANYMORE are playing at Sidney and Matilda tonight (Wed 2nd August) and tickets are £5 from the link below if anyone is looking to check out a new to South Yorkshire band :) Tickets also available OTD for the same price but cash only;

Unfortunately due to last minute issue's Sunday bands have been cancelled this year :( I've been told yesterday went fantastically and today is still a go however! :)

Due to Sunday being cancelled, SISTER CHAIN and BROTHER JOHN have moved their set to today! Will be starting 7pm or just after at the Dove and Rainbow 😃

Christmas eve parties tomorrow at all the rock pubs for once from what I hear, this is the day we do it best ;) Been asked repeatedly what the Dove and Rainbow is doing tomorrow, so thought I'd share for anyone that hasn't seen, looking forward to a good day of drinking and good company! To the barstaff, good luck tomorrow lol. To everyone else, enjoy the holiday time and hope to see you soon :)

Bar is open from 12pm, closes when you guys want to stop drinking basically!

It's finally Xmas weekend! Open from 4pm as usual today, and 12 noon on Xmas Eve.

We'll lock the doors well before we actually stop serving, to keep out the randoms who have already been to told by spoons to "go home", so we can all actually enjoy the night. If the shutters are still open, come to the window and try not to look like a numpty.

Tonight could go 'til 3am if you are up for it, and tomorrow is a bit of an unknown, but we're staffed up, so we can open later than previous years (think we closed about 8/9 last year), as after all it is a Saturday!

It's DJ Lucy tonight and tomorrow (she's sorted a playlist to get us started on Xmas Eve, as not even she is expecting to be in before 1 at the earliest!). We'll have nibbles on the bar tomorrow (I think I slightly over-ordered on mince pies!) but please remember to actually eat something proper if you are afternoon-drinking - you are welcome to bring something in with you, if Pot Noodle isn't your go-to Xmas Eve food!

If we don't see you today or tomorrow, have a good one! We'll be open as usual again from Tuesday...
