This is the same painting as yesterday using Susan Jenkins tutorial but this version is using oil pastels.

After my difficulty with the first painting using oil pastels I'm already learning how to use them better.

This one is on A4 hot pressed Watercolour paper I painted with acrylic ink for a warm background.

I've used Meeden oil pastels.

Really enjoyed this piece although I'm not sure about my homemade surface. Will try this again using Pastelmat now it's arrived.

I created my own surface using watercolour paper, ink and clear gesso.

A4 using Mungyo, Daler Rowney and Jackson's soft pastels.

My second attempt at using oil pastels. I nearly gave up half way through. I decided to stop looking at the reference photo and just did my own thing and I'm pretty happy with it 😌.

It's Meeden oil pastels on A4 hot pressed watercolour paper.
