☀️ We're closed today and tomorrow for the Summer Bank Holiday.

Our office is taking a little break, but we'll be back Wednesday 2nd September, ready for what is usually a very busy start to the month!

You can still place orders through our website while we're closed, and we'll begin processing them when we return.

🌈 This weekend, Notting Hill Carnival returns with its unmistakable explosion of colour, creativity and celebration.

It got us thinking about just how important colour can be when you're organising an event.

With tokens, different colours can help visitors and staff quickly distinguish between activities, values, areas or even different days of an event.

They can also match your event branding or simply make your token system much easier to recognise in a busy crowd.

And when you add your own custom design, they can become a little reminder of the event that visitors take home with them.

We spend a lot of time thinking about reward systems from an adult's point of view, but the people we're trying to motivate are the pupils themselves.

So, how would they rate yours?

🎪 School events are brilliant fun, but anyone who's ever helped organise one knows how much work goes on behind the scenes!

A bit of forward planning can make the day much easier for everyone involved.

👥 Make sure you've got enough volunteers.

🎯 Plan a good mix of stalls and activities.

💷 Decide how visitors will pay.

📍 Make your signs and prices clear.

🌧️ And, because we're in the UK, always have a wet-weather plan! 😂

If you're looking for a simple alternative to handling cash at every stall, tokens can be sold from a central point and then used across games, food, drinks and activities throughout the fair.

🎃 And if your next PTA event is a Halloween fair or disco, now is a good time to start getting those plans together too.

Sometimes it's easy. You've got a school, house or brand colour and you already know exactly what you want.

Other times, there are a LOT of options. 😂

Colour can completely change the finished look of a custom token, so there are a few things to consider when choosing yours.

🏫 Do you want to match your school or brand colours?

🌈 Are you using different colours for houses, teams or rewards?

👀 Which colour will help your artwork stand out?

🎨 Do you want something bold or something more understated?

And sometimes... you just really like purple. That's a perfectly good reason too. 😂

Getting pupils excited about a new reward system is one thing. Keeping that enthusiasm going throughout the school year can be a little trickier!

A few small changes can help keep things interesting:

🎯 Give pupils clear goals to work towards.

🔄 Introduce new challenges throughout the year.

🏆 Let pupils have a say in the rewards.

👀 Make their progress visible.

🎉 Celebrate milestones along the way.

You don't necessarily need to completely change your reward system when enthusiasm starts to dip. Sometimes a new challenge or target is enough to get everyone interested again.
