So today I started a project that isn't sewing!

Our old house needed a lot of work, so I did quite a few room renovation projects (scroll back down my posts if you're interested).

Our new house has fallen victim to me struggling with low energy/migraine fatigue and a preference to use any spare time I have to sew. And to be fair it wasn't as terrible to start withnas our previous house.

This is me starting on the kitchen! And yes, it is pink!

Keeping it simple for the first day of , a month of celebrating handmade clothes.

My aim has always been to have a completely me-made wardrobe, and I'm making good progress, although I'm not going to dump anything I bought previously unless it doesn't fit or no longer mendable.

I love it when I'm wearing a totally me-made outfit! Black trousers in a lovely ponte, cardigan in a buttery soft knit, and a blouse made from one of my husband's old shirts (more on that another time).

When I saw a massive quilted blanket in a charity shop I knew it just had to be a jacket. I wasn't sure I could make it work but with plenty of tinkering and adjusting, here it is.

While perhaps not strictly a regency style (not that Bridgerton is any way historically correct in its costuming) I love the historical vibes of this gorgeous Bloom Jacket pattern from , mixing up the sleeve from their flourish coat, and a collar from their additional collar pack.

Ok so I made a thing... Quite a nice thing. Something I've not made before... A waistcoat (or vest if you're American) as a tester (so pre-release) for .

It's their new pattern, the Veronik waistcoat vest released today!

As a newbie to pattern testing (but having thought this would be awesome to do for some time) this was such a great experience and I've been asked to join their pool of testers for future releases! Woop Woop!

This one is made with dark green corduroy from and some forest type cotton from my stash, maybe from my mum? The combo is perfect for autumn but there are so many lovely ideas on the website itself (where you might spot me...) Yay!
