🌲 Christmas Tree Appeal 🌲

✨ We LOVE Christmas! Can you help us make our Festive Production at Pocklington Arts Centre even more magical this year?

Do you have an unwanted artificial Christmas tree lurking in your loft that you’d be happy to donate to help us create a forest of Christmas trees?

We’re looking for shades of green or white - height 4ft and up.

We won’t be able to return these but if you’re happy to upcycle we’ll put them to good use.

Our 'Mike and Millie's Winter Wonderland' leaflets are going up around Beverley!

Come along to Parkway Cinema Beverley on the 25th February for this reminiscence show design for those living with later-stage dementia.

Expect live music, laughs, dancing and of course a cup of tea and a biscuit.

Local dementia-friendly theatre company Smashing Mirrors Theatre are delighted to be teaming up with Parkway Cinema Beverley this February to bring their show “Mike and Millie’s Winter Wonderland” to the stage on Tuesday 25 February at 10:30am.

We are delighted to be bringing “Mike and Millie’s Winter Wonderland”, a reminiscence show for those living with later-stage dementia to Parkway Cinema Beverley on the 25th February!

Specifically created for those living with later-stage dementia, this charming show takes the audience on a day trip to the 1960s. Using music, dance, mime and rhyme, the performers from Smashing Mirrors Theatre Company provoke memories and stimulate interaction in a safe and comfortable setting. Join Mike and Millie as they explore a snowy world of icicles, sledging and songs by the fire.

Show is 30 minutes long, but the cafe is open longer, and you will not be rushed.

Tickets are £5, and include tea and biscuits:

Really delighted to be working with John Godber Company and East Riding Theatre again to create an accessible showing of “The Highwayman” this November.

📢With lights staying on, quieter music, no flashing lights, socially distanced seating, dementia-friendly-trained staff on-site and the ability for audience members to come and go as they please.

And we’re off on tour, complete with lyric sheets, ribbons and fake snow for our dementia-friendly show “Mike and Millie’s Winter Wonderland”!

What wonderful sold-out audiences we’ve had today and ! Lots of singing, laughs and dancing about!

We’re delighted to be supported by NHS Humber Teaching Grants to perform in Howden today.
