On Broadway Dance Fitness - Sheffield, Chesterfield & Bakewell At ‘On Broadway’® Dance Fitness we get fit by dancing to songs from popular Broadway & West End musicals. Well now is your chance to be like one!!

We are passionate about providing women with a fun way to get fit in non-judgmental local venues! 2 left feet & accidental solos are welcome here. This really epitomises my motto "Dance like no-one is watching". Have you always admired the dancers on stage in the musicals like A Chorus Line, Chicago and Dirty Dancing? On Broadway® Dance Fitness is a dance fitness class themed on songs and dance st

yles from popular musical theatre shows. Previous dance experience is not essential, but a love of dance and of course those all-important 'jazz hands' is! Guaranteed fun, fitness, escapism, and joy! We believe every woman deserves to feel confident, allow time for themselves and find something they love to do to get fit! We use top hats, feather boas, canes and songs from all the popular Broadway shows, in local community venues that offer safe, non-judgemental classes for women of all ages, shapes, sizes and those with two left feet. At On Broadway® Dance Fitness we learn a dance routine over a 4 week period. Every 4 weeks the musical inspired routine changes allowing you to enjoy different styles of dance every month. Online live classes, 1hr recorded class, tutorial and demo videos & choreography notes are included in addition to your classes for added dance fun and to help you to practice at home if you wish.

2 left feet and accidental solos are welcome here. Our top priority is having fun. Come along and learn some great routines to songs from the shows and pretend you are dancing ‘On Broadway’®!

Because who doesn't need a little "Broadway" in their life? 😍

Every 4 weeks we learn a new musical theatre inspired dance routine, and this week we're beginning a new routine to "New Money" from The Great Gatsby.

Lots of our members call our classes "exercise disguised as dancing" - because as it happens, getting fit doesn't FEEL like a chore when you're having fun and dancing like no one is watching to show tunes. Who knew 😆

I went on a cruise earlier this year! Cruises never fail to bring back memories from my showgirl days - lots of inspiration for On Broadway® Dance Fitness routines come from my time performing around the world in my feathers 😀

Fun fact - those showgirl feather headpieces are actually very heavy! Dancers train to wear them by developing extreme core and neck strength, securing the bases tightly to their hair, and (lots of) rehearsing in the heavy gear.

You'll be glad to know, we only use feather boas at our On Broadway® Dance Fitness classes - no need for any extreme neck strength here 😂

They are fabulous though aren't they?! We can imagine we're wearing these as we dance our showgirly On Broadway® Dance Fitness routines!

We went to visit our showbiz lion cub at the Crucible Theatre last Saturday!

We were performing at Chance to Dance directly outside of Sheffield Theatres - so it was the perfect opportunity to go and say "hello" to Fosse.

Fosse (our lion cub) is definitely enjoying living in a theatre setting - what better place to be?!

Our On Broadway® Dance Fitness lion cub will be on display at the Crucible Theatre until 8th September as part of the Pride Of Yorkshire Sculpture trail, an exciting initiative by Sheffield Children's Hospital NHS and Charity 🦁
