I don’t think people realise just how much there is at Wentfest this year.

It’s not just a music festival. It’s a full day out with mates, family, kids, a few drinks, some laughs and loads going on from the minute the gates open.

We’ve got Jason Donovan headlining, the Phoenix Nights cast doing a world first live Q&A, Chrissy Rock, Justin Moorhouse, Charlie Chuck, brilliant unsigned bands, DJs, food, bars, rides and loads more across the site all day long.
And honestly, events like this only happen if people support them.
We’ve put everything into Wentfest because we wanted to create something local people could be proud of. A proper Yorkshire festival with big names, local talent and a really friendly atmosphere where everybody just has a good time.

An hour before the show it’s empty tables, quiet bars and comics pacing backstage pretending they’re not nervous. Then this happens.
The buzz starts. Drinks arrive. Tables fill up. Mates laughing before the show’s even started. Then the lights go down and for two hours the outside world disappears.
This is what weekends are supposed to look like.
