The Festival is mostly put away for another year, but as usual a little lost property:
Two pairs of mens shoes left behind, one absolutely new and one much loved and worn.
One mug.
Oh, and did someone take a small fluffy black cardigan with a few sequins by mistake?
Please get in touch

One week ago, the dance floor was full, the music was flowing, and Sheffield was once again filled with tango ❤️

We’re starting to go through the many beautiful photos and memories from the festival, and here are some of the first moments we’d like to share with you. Friday early hours coming first!

Thank you for the dancing, the embraces, the conversations, the energy and the warmth.

Until next time 🙂

What a weekend…

Thank you to everyone who was part of the Sheffield Tango Festival — dancers, teachers, musicians, volunteers, and friends.

So many beautiful moments on and off the dance floor.

This is what tango is about ❤️

See you again soon.

Hello to all you lovely people that joined us in Sheffield for our Primavera Tango Festival.
We want to thank you from our hearts for everything you did to help us create a special event for everyone.
There are just five of us who organise this festival but there is no way that you can make a lot of hours of tango magic happen without a great big team and Sheffield had just that again this year!
Huge appreciation to all the DJs who kept the floors buzzing with wonderful music: Marcelino, Chris, Ivo, Negro Flores, Simon, David, Saretta, Alikim and Joe.
We thank our fantastic teachers, Bruno, Rocio, Andres, Natacha, Loukas and Georgia, who delivered quality workshops and stunning performances, not forgetting Dan too with Body Mechanics. Tango Spleen not only gave us their beautiful live tango arrangements for dancing, but also a personal insight into their work with their class and superb mini concert. Thanks to Dan and Josh for great work as sound technicians. Also hope you enjoyed the film AddicTango, brought to you Anita Kucserova, thank you Anita, and also Lucas for inspiring people again by sharing your tango culture.
Our volunteer team were quite exceptional this year.
Special mention to the amazing team who helped set everything up in just three hours: Jane G, Fiona H, Susannah, Tony T, Chris S, Charlotte B, Fergus, David B, and Joe; some of whom cleared up as well, along with Chizu, Janet, Sam L, Helen C, Jane V, Fariba, Dave A, John H, Alf, Tania, Tim and Claire who also produced the gorgeous floral displays.
Your Café worked well because of Jane G, Fiona H and Andy H, supported by Suzanne, Sharon C, Jatinder, Lucy, Lindsay, John, Chizu, Hoan, Sam, Helen T, Janet and Jane V and how do we thank the amazing Charlotte Holwell for her dedication and time to give us the best selection of festival cakes ever!
Thanks for help on the Reception Desk from Anthea, Tracey, Russell, Sarah and Lucy at Couch.
We could not provide you this quality event without a quality location, and we are so grateful and honoured to be able to dance at King Edward VII School and give huge thanks to Scott, Craig and James for making this work in so many ways from start to finish.
The BIGGEST THANKS OF ALL TO YOU ALL, our dancers who came from near and much further, who shared this experience and really made it happen together.
Just wait for the brilliant photos/videos from Team Photographers Emma and Joe to give you the happy memories – many thanks to you both and bet David P will share some on here too!

Lucas, Melanie, Julie, Emma and Ann

You may want to come but have forgotten to book?
