Patron scheme - This is now fully subscribed; thank you very much to all our patrons.
Festival Programming - Each Festival takes 2 years in its planning. The Trustees look to find music and performers who appeal to as wide a range of music lovers as we can. We are approached by artists wanting to perform as much as we reach out to invite them. We like to always offer something fresh or new – this year especially true of Corvus Consort and Woolf Quartet. Their programmes offer brilliant contrasts between the old and the new, more familiar and the lesser known, but equally deserving of being performed.
In 2026, we have artists with enviable international reputations and we are thrilled to offer the opportunity to hear them locally: Fenella Humphreys and Martin Roscoe, Trio Meister Raro and Jess Gillam Trio.
Occasionally, artists strike a particular chord with our audience or our setting and we are always happy to enjoy an evening with them again, and we hope you are too. This is true of Tim Kliphuis Trio and Lisa Friend Trio, who, among others enjoy performing at Bradfield so much that they ask to return.
What is special about Bradfield that brings artists back? One soloist at a previous festival said that as soon as she walked onto the platform to play, she was aware the audience were already listening and as a result felt her performance was enlivened and much richer as a result. Others have said that if they had known about the setting, the acoustic and in particular, the audiences, that they would have wanted to have been here even earlier in their careers and would want to come to perform again. That synergy and flow of shared enjoyment though the music and the moment is very special.
We spoke to Lisa Friend about Bradfield, ''We loved performing at Bradfield and are delighted to return. The audience was both warm and engaging, and the atmosphere and surroundings are truly magical.” She had other interesting things to say too, which can be found on the Festival website.
Feedback - always welcome! Just email [email protected] .
We look forward to welcoming you and your friends and family to this very special Bradfield Festival in June.
