Thursday Night - Jedis

Kicking off Thursday night is Jedis, a short play centring around the relationship between a father and son after a bank robbery. Unfortunately there are no colourful lightsabres involved; however, there are subtle references for any Star Wars fans.

Avery joined BSU back in 2017 and has appeared in a few shows since then. They are looking forward to sticking his teeth into different aspects of Thestival, especially Jedis, as it is their first real opportunity for an main acting role. This is Connor's second Thestival and he has been performing for around 20 years total, including multiple performing degrees.

Both actors have expressed their passion in the piece and how much fun the rehearsals have been. Working with Rob and Georgia has been a joy that they hope comes across on stage.

It's time to start introducing our talented cast and crew for Thestival 2026!

Starting Thursday night off with a bang are director Rob Eagle and producer Georgia Deith with a section called Across the Pond.

Rob has been involved with BSU for around 6 years now, and although this is his first time directing, he has been keeping us all in line from the backstage wings. Georgia is taking a turn at producing this time after showing off her talents on the stage.

They both have an amazing dynamic with the cast, allowing them to shape the characters, showing the emotional and sometimes funny side.

We're going 'Beneath the Butter' to show you what's been going on in the world of Thestival. 🍞

Our cast and production team have been hard at work rehearsing songs, skits and plays to put on an amazing show for you.

The talented backstage crew have been creating unique props, set pieces, lighting and sound that will enhance the actors' on-stage work and help our director's visions come to life.

🎭 THESTIVAL 2026 CAST LIST 🎭

A huge thank you to everyone who auditioned for Thestival yesterday. We were absolutely blown away by the talent on display, and the standard was incredibly high.

We're excited to get rehearsals underway this Wednesday and start bringing this year's productions to life. It's shaping up to be a fantastic Thestival, and we can't wait to get started.
