There is so much comedy in December we are going to do regular updates starting with this one on Tuesday 2nd December, the brainchild of a Steel City stalwart Stan Skinny.
World of Sheds is a story-driven, live sitcom where a new episode is written and performed each month. This month, the evening features the main show followed by Scott Doonican, the charismatic front man of the UK’s hardest-working comedy band, ‘The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican'.
The comedy is surreal, character-based, clowning, and joyfully silly, an escape from the everyday. We follow Stanley (played by Stan Skinny) and his staff as they battle giant squirrels, holes in the space-time continuum, and evil corporations to keep the business afloat and spread the love of sheds. This month includes an entire musical written for just 1 episode!
The show is performed live at the Alder Bar in the Neepsend area of Sheffield and starts at 7.30pm

🎭 This Week We Delve into Sheffield’s Wild & Wonderful Alternative Comedy Underground

There’s something brilliant brewing beneath Sheffield’s surface — a full-blown alternative comedy movement, driven by two of the city’s most inventive minds:

Whilst the comedy club is on a little hiatus we thought we'd share some of the best of the Sheffield comedy scene each week. This weeks offering comes from The Big Shaun Experience Comedy Club at the Fat Cat, Kelham, on Thursday and features Jack Gleadow from Hull (don't hold that against him). Jack is known for his high-energy performances packed with physical comedy, razor-sharp storytelling, music, and audience interaction. His unique blend of old-school variety and modern stand-up has made him one of the most exciting acts on the circuit today. As an added treat 2 of the Steel City Comedy Clubs favourites are also on the line up. Stevie and Jenny have graced our stage with hilarious results.
