AlgoMech Festival takes place Fri 17th - Sun 19th May in Sheffield, and we are looking for volunteers.

This the third installment of our algorithmic and mechanical festival of music and art, with a programme spanning live-coding, interactive e-textiles, dance, film, live music, art installations and pop-up performances.

Our festival can't happen without the help of volunteers, who ensure the smooth running of the weekend and fill a variety of roles including box office, exhibition invigilation, stewarding, documentation and production support.

👉👉 The Abbeydale Picture House needs YOU!! 👈👈

On May 7th, we are launching a crowd-funding campaign and we are going to need all the help we can get spreading the word!

We have decided it is time to ask for your help in raising the funds necessary to restore and improve the building, and help us gain a full premises license.

With a premises license, we will be able to run licensed events every day of the year, raising much needed funds to continue improvements to this amazing and historically significant building.

Please spread the word far and wide - and don't worry, we WILL remind you again before the campaign goes live on Tuesdsay 7th may 😘

Mary Reid Kelley and Patrick Kelley: We Are Ghosts

Mary Reid Kelley and Patrick Kelley work in collaboration to create video works that combine painting, performance and poetry to tell surreal stories inspired by history and mythology. Played by the artists acting multiple roles, their characters speak in poetic verse filled with wordplay and puns to tell stories that imagine unrecorded histories.
