Introducing the internationally renowned Kirsty Abbotts. One of the highest acclaimed cornet players of all time.

Kirsty's passion for brass bands started at the age of eight when she started playing the cornet after hearing her Dad rehearse. She quickly joined Shipston Town Junior Band, which her Dad ran at the time. The rest, as they say, is history!

For over 19 years Kirsty was the acclaimed principal cornet of Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band before moving to the same role with Hammonds Band in October 2021, where she remains today.

Kirsty has been an avid supporter of B***s and Brass since they formed in 2006, and her support and dedication to the band, along with the charity is greatly appreciated.

An accomplished soloist prize winner, with many, many achievements to her name... Both bands are extremly excited to accompany her on the 6th October.

It really isn't a concert to be missed!

If you're free on Sunday evening we'd love for you to support our friends at Loxley Silver Band at their concert in Crookes Social Club to help support their trip to the National Finals!

This time next week we'll be opening the doors for our first ever Summer Concert at Crookes Social Club!! 😁

Date: Sunday 23rd June 2024
Start time: 7.30pm
Doors open: 7.00pm

Tickets are available in advance at loxleyband.sumupstore.com or will be available on the door, subject to availability.

There will be a raffle with some exciting prizes, a bake sale and bar service will be available throughout the night.

All proceeds from the concert will go towards the cost of transport and accommodation for the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain in September, so that all members of the band are able to take part in the finals.

We can't wait to see you there!

What a wonderful evening last night!! 🎺
Thank you so much to our friends at Chapeltown Silver Prize Band for such an entertaining concert 😀 we all thoroughly enjoyed it!

Chapeltown Band were invited to perform for the penultimate concert of the Unite the Union Band Club series, last night at the Crookes Social club and what a great time we had!

It was great to see so many friendly faces in the audience, we hope you enjoyed the concert and that we see you in one our audiences again soon!

The series finale is happening on the 19th November with Unite the Union Brass Band playing and there's money in the box to be won!! 😍

A little birdie tells us that we're in for a real treat on Sunday if tonight's Chapeltown Silver Prize Band rehearsal is anything to go by!

We really look forward to welcoming our friends from Chapeltown to the final Unite the Union Band Club of the season before our prize giving concert on 19th November.
