Budding Picassos is a paint your own pottery studio and craft café. In addition to pottery painting we also offer decopatch and build your own bears. We have a separate party room which is available for group bookings. We also offer a range of good quality coffees, hot chocolates and teas and delicious cakes.

We know. It’s September.
Christmas still feels AGES away. 😂
And every year we hear:
“I was going to wait until November because it feels more Christmassy…” 🎄
But here’s the bit you might not realise…
Taking your baby’s tiny footprints is actually the quick part.
Once you leave, our baby print specialist gets to work turning those little prints into reindeer, snowmen, penguins, puddings, mistletoes and all the other gorgeous designs you see on our baubles. ❤️
And that is what limits how many appointments we can offer.
Right now, we’re already around 75–80% of our Christmas print capacity.
Not because we’re trying to create a mad Christmas rush — but because there are only so many beautiful little footprints I can paint, personalise, glaze and fire between now and Christmas. 🎨🔥
Every year we reach the point where we simply have to say “I’m so sorry, we’re full” — usually just as everyone starts feeling Christmassy and decides it’s time to book.
So our little tip?
Don’t wait until Christmas to make Christmas. 🎄❤️
Come while your baby’s feet are that little bit smaller, enjoy a coffee, let us take the prints — and we’ll do the rest.
Then when December arrives, your beautiful handmade Christmas keepsakes are already sorted. 🎁👣

ONE TO ONE APPOINTMENTS WITH OUR BABY PRINT SPECIALIST - NEW OCTOBER DATES ADDED THIS MORNING

Our one to one appointments give you 30 mins with our dedicated print specialist, who will take your babies prints for you. Completion of artwork, writing etc is included with this service. There is a full price list in the pictures.

Our Christmas print baubles are hugely popular and make fabulous presents for grandparents, aunts and uncles, godparents etc

Our one to one appointments always book up fast but this year is looking particularly busy so we have just released the last of our OCTOBER ONE TO ONE APPOINTMENTS

If your baby is already here and you are thinking of waiting till November or December to get booked in as it’ll be a nice Christmassy thing to do please don’t wait, your baby’s prints tend to be clearer and more detailed the younger they are. Additionally, to give everyone a chance to book we hold back some of the November appointments for the November born babies and we also have a lot of groups booked in - there won’t be many appointments released after this current batch - December is just too late to get your baubles finished in time for Christmas .

BABY PRINT VOLUNTEER NEEDED - FRIDAY 4th SEPTEMBER

Do you have a baby newborn - 6 months and would be willing to volunteer you little ones feet for half an hour to make some studio print samples? In return we will make you a complimentary print bauble as a thank you! If you’d like to volunteer and are available on Friday PLEASE COMMENT BELOW with your little ones age. (So we get a good mix of ages for our samples) Feel free to tag anyone who’s had a baby this year you think may like to help us out.

We always get more volunteers than we need so we will pick a couple at random and let you know by Thursday morning
