⛓️JUST ANNOUNCED FOR CRYPTID QU**RS FEST ’26⛓️

🔪ORKGOTIK

Orkgotik is a self-proclaimed Latin American monster and scientist, known for his intriguing exploration as a researcher of the ‘new flesh.’ Hailing from Colombia, where his childhood fears took root, he now traverses the globe, delving into experimental techniques for crafting bold prosthetics. His work aims to achieve a transformative shapeshifting experience while honoring the human heart as the ultimate symbol of representation. He has shown his works as performer in Malba museum, Centro Cultural Recoleta, MUNAR, Solo Show (platform presenting offsite exhibitions), and others. Orkgotik was also a finalist in the 5th season of The Boulet Brothers Dragula. He has presented his audiovisual pieces in México, Argentina, Bolivia, UK, USA, France, Italy, Poland, Denmark and Germany.

Orkgotik, a creature born from latex, leather, and the beautiful decay of nightmares. His art exists where horror and glamour collide - a ritual of transformation that blurs the line between monster and divinity. Every prosthetic sculpt, every performance I embodied, is a rebellion against the idea that beauty must be soft, symmetrical, or safe.

As a finalist on The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula, he carried his creatures into the spotlight, fusing performance, sculpture, and horror into living art. Orkgotik is not just a persona - it’s a language of flesh and spirit, a devotion to the monstrous beauty within us all.

Cryptid Qu**rs Fest ’26 is a full day dedicated to drag monsters and alt drag and features live drag shows, competitions, workshops, live music, a huge alt market, DJ’s, and more!

🔪BLACK PEPPA

Black Peppa is a finalist of Rupaul’s Drag Race UK Season 4. This Birmingham drag queen was the lip sync assassin of the season, known for her dancing ability and fashionable runways on the show. Since then she has lit up the drag scene not just in the UK but globally touring Europe, Australia, Canada and the United States. She dominates high energy spaces including brunches and special occasions with her charisma and charm and leaves no head unturned.

Their creative flair can be seen in their conceptual drag photography and performances which can range from energetic drag performances, gore and emotional ballads. They are truly a chameleon ranging from high punk clubkid attire at big raves to sleek avant garde glamour on a red carpet for fashion week. A drag aesthetic that encapsulates a sophisticated twist of fe**sh meets glamour; with a hint of Futurism and a lot of Caribbean.

Oh my god what a night!!!

Thank you so much, Cryptids! Thank you for turning out and supporting us for our festival fundraiser! We had an absolute blast with another stacked cast who ate and left no crumbs!

Not only that but you lot had wayyy too much fun with that particular carnival game.. you know the one!

Thanks to you we have raised over £2000 towards the cost of our festival this August which is absolutely incredible. The level of love and support from you is truly touching and we cannot wait to drop the festival this summer!

We have worked tirelessly for 4 years to build and nurture an alt drag scene in Sheffield. Winning the Sheffield Arts And Culture category or the Tramlines Award for Best Local Event could help raise our profile for the upcoming festival, even if it’s a bit of a long shot, we could really use that kind of exposure..

Our first show of the year is here!

This Spring, we’re bringing some of the hottest monsters the UK has to offer to FORGE Warehouse - with all proceeds going towards funding our first ever Drag Monster Festival this August in Sheffield.

You’ll also see the return of our alternative market, and be able to dance the night away to two rooms of alt music from our legendary resident DJs until 3am.

TW - loss and grief.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of our regulars and a cryptid family member.

Rich was our guest DJ in July last year, he was an avid supporter of Cryptid and helped me behind the scenes from time to time. He was a kind and genuine soul. Highly passionate and creative. He’s probably best known as the charismatic frontman of Killing Miranda and Uberbyte and has contributed significantly to the goth scene in his career but I just knew him as that beautiful chaos demon who was always looking out for his friends and partner, who he loved with his entire being.

I will miss him dearly he was a good friend, a deeply caring person and such a huge personality there really isn’t anyone quite like him.

We will return to our regular posting schedule in time. We are just having a small break to process this.
