Sewcial Sewing Sewing Lessons | Fabric Shop | Haberdashery | Quilting | Patchwork | Yorkshire I've been sewing now for over 50 years and teaching for 9.

Teaching sewing has always been a dream and to have that dream come true has made me very proud. As long as it can be sewn I can teach it, my passion is dressmaking, but I love patchwork and quilting. Something I never show is the lingerie I make! I now teach every Tuesday night (except some school holidays) at St John's Community Centre, Pen*stone. This is for every ability and type of sewing. In October 2023, I proudly opened a fabric and haberdashery shop here on the heart of Pen*stone.

Who needs sweets on Halloween, all we need are happy neighbourhoods, thorny roses, pumpkins, witches hats and our faithful cat. In this collection Robin Pickens has captured all of these in warming pumpkin orange and moody blue tones. Now available in our lovely little shop on Market Street in Pen*stone.

It's a new month and we now have the a reel of last month's student makes. From a ByAnnie Carry on Bag, pinafore dress and apron from the same fabric, a hedgehog house, a novice making a great basket and the beginnings of a wonderful quilt.

This is the third quilt I have finished this week. Yes, you read correct, I have finished 3 quilts this week (taking me just over 6 weeks). This one is using the Charmed collection from Makower and is their free pattern Bewitchery. If you'd like to make one yourself, then I have the kit available in our fabric shop here in Pen*stone.

New Little Ladies, by Makower is now unwrapped and in stock at our beautifully stocked fabric and haberdashery shop in Pen*stone near Sheffield.
Bobby has already asked for a pair of dungarees! I'll keep you posted about how that goes.
