My Monthly is coming up this Sat 14th August from 1pm til 5pm at the beautiful Old Band Room in Dungworth (afternoon tea included!)

The last few weeks have been filled with music, first with the Warwick Folk Festival working with followed closely by the SidmouthFolkFestival

Then I spent two days in York teaching for 32 fabulous young teenage singers attending the Inspiring Tomorrow's Singers York summer course. It was an utter delight to work with youngsters so passionate and curious about their voices.

Last night I attended the Savoynet Performing Group production of The Sorcerer at the Buxton Opera House as part of the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival, who I have performed with for the past two years. Great to see more friends on stage doing what they love πŸ’œπŸŽΆπŸ’œ

This Saturday I am looking forward to working more closely with a small group at my voice workshop - open to all ages and abilities, and all types of voice users.

Every month has taken a different direction, depending on who is in the room, and I am loving the variety and the challenge to my skills. We include Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lessons, singing techniques, vocal health, and explore the relationship between body, mind and voice.

So much fun, so many aha! moments, and so many voice revelations.

Join us, this month, or any 3rd Saturday for the rest of the year! Link to register on my website.

A fabulous day today in Leek for in Staffordshire.

Despite the drenching rain during setup, it cleared up into a buzzing and warm day.

This is the Pride Parade entering the Market Square and finishing here. Great to see such a wonderful cultural mix and so many happy people πŸ’œ

I met some lovely people on my stall, and got to share my love organic products from Neal's Yard Remedies (for people) and from The Conscious Way (for pets), and talking about wellbeing through Lymphatic Drainage, Feldenkrais Method, singing and voice workshops, and travelling health with Humidiflyers which I have been using for decades when flying.

Now home and had some food, collapsed in a heap, and need to summon the energy to unload the car and then maybe get to a music session if I can stay awake, and finish unloading before it is too late.

I am home from an incredible three days and nights at Folky Rivendell, aka Halsway Manor
Halsway Manor with ten other fantastic creatives.

It has been a fantastic opportunity to take a moment out of life, away from Mordor, and meet new people, share our musical and artistic work, get some writing or recording or practicing done, be very well fed, and hosted by lovely staff, and have some epically fabulous evening sessions after our working day was done.

Thank you so much to Halsway for providing this opportunity, and supporting all of us in our creative endeavours.

And a HUGE thank you to all my fellow artists. I have loved making music and playing and laughing and learning with you allΒ  πŸ™πŸŽΆπŸ’œ

Ooh, and yes, I have an excellent new earworm tune for all you choon players, dedicated to everyone who travels the M5 and has dealt with the Bristol Slowdown 😁🎢

It was fab to share the first night with all the folks at the Songs, Threads and Yarns week. Lovely chats and session!

Extra special to share laughs remembering the brilliant Paul Sartin, and to play his grand piano, and use it for some inspiration πŸ™

Here's hoping we all get together again soon!

My heart is full.

Happy Solstice, everyone πŸ’«
