We live in an age of endless contradiction and inescapable hypocrisy, but no matter how it feels, for what length of time things have been endured or how set a course may seem...nothing ever has to be the way it is.
We find ourselves at an intersection of the pressures of 'progress', the environment, our economy, culture, political chaos, people's well-being and technology...with more knowledge than we ever dreamed of at our fingertips...teetering between catastrophe and opportunity, unable to see a clear path!
Power often lies in accepted and entrenched ways of doing things, but do not confuse the familiar with 'right'. Instead, as our faith in the status quo erodes away, let us set forth to listen, gather stories from as many perspectives as possible, consider and learn from the alternatives available to us.
It may be hard to take that first step back, to try and see the truths in front of us, but we must never let fear determine any sort of destiny for us! It is only when our gaze shifts to the dissenting voices that the true nature of the game can be seen!
Painting pictures of what might be has always been a human fascination and there are many routes we could venture, but the future has never been set. There really is no fate, but what we make for ourselves...as long as we act...because the only way anyone has ever been able to predict anything is by creating it.
