My craft involves different aspects of fibre and fabric production by hand, encompassing fibre preperation, dyeing, spinning, weaving and felting. I tend to focus on the processes almost as much as the finished item or garment, but it is always rewarding to hear back from my customers and find out what they have been creating. I use the best quality products I can source, preferably as locally as possible.

I've been busy moving out of the shop. Unfortunately my old back and neck problems have resurfaced so I'm trying to have a few rest days before I do myself real damage again.
I'm not very good at resting.
I am pleased however to be noticing my creative mind grinding back into action. I hadn't realised how tired running the shop had made me and due to lack of space I wasn't able to create as much as I would have liked there.
As I'm getting settled back home, I am finding time to create. In my pyjamas. At any time.
This morning I have been making my fabric labels, then tweaking the website over coffee.
I hope to get more of my work online very soon ❤️

It's with a heavy heart I post this. I have had to make the decision to close the shop at Elsecar Heritage Centre.
I'm not going to go into too many details, but basically it's not a good fit for me and my future plans.

My website is still very much active and I'm getting my work online as quickly as I can ❤️ I am looking forward to bringing more content to my online space, as I'll have more time to create.

Thank you to everyone who supported the shop over the last two years.

I'm going to be hibernating this winter, working at home. Then we will see what spring brings 🙂

What is your opinion on handmade items that just aren't quite right 🤔
Not unusable, just not perfect?
Reduce, refuse or recycle?
Personally I think offering them at a discount makes most sense, as I like to find a bargain and hate waste.
Maybe if the error is more substantial then pop it on the recycle pile.

The shop at Elsecar is closed today as I'm having a bit of a tidy around.
I have been getting more stock on the website though, so you can have a little peruse online!
