🍔☕ Meet our Food & Beverage Manager, Chris Dickens! 👋

Chris has been part of the Ice Sheffield team since 2004, making him our longest-standing member of staff! 🙌

Over the years, Chris has become a familiar face to both our team and customers, always ready with a friendly smile and, of course, the occasional joke! 😄

He’s also our unofficial work Dad — always looking out for everyone and keeping the team going. ❤️

We’re so lucky to have had Chris as part of the Ice Sheffield family for over 20 years!

⚡️ WE HAVE POWER! ⚡️

We are SO, SO happy to tell you all that we’ll be back open from 6am tomorrow!🙌

Sadly, we cannot open this evening as we have staff in to get the Ice back to scratch and the building clean and ready. We will be in all evening to ensure systems are working correctly.

Any new sessions will be added to the app and ready to book this evening, so keep your eyes peeled! 👀

📢 IMPORTANT UPDATE

We’re really sorry to confirm that Ice Sheffield will remain closed tomorrow, Thursday 8 October, due to the ongoing issue affecting the building.

We’re working hard with specialist contractors to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. At this stage, we’re still unsure on a time frame but we’ll provide a further update as soon as we know more.

Lessons customers you will receive further communication tomorrow about your direct debits.

Patch and Public customers we are trying to contact as many people as possible now and once we’re up and running we’ll be able to arrange transfers or refunds.

We sincerely apologise for the continued disruption and appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to get Ice Sheffield back open. ❤️

🚨 CUSTOMER NOTICE

Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding while we work hard to get the venue back up and running.

Sadly, Ice Sheffield will not be open tomorrow morning. We are aiming to reopen before lunchtime, but unfortunately this may not be possible. We will continue to keep you updated as soon as we know more.

As we currently have no power, we have limited access to our booking systems and customer information, which means we’re unable to contact everyone individually. For this reason, social media will be our main way of keeping you updated.

As soon as we have further information, we will let you know.

Due to the ongoing power cut, unfortunately the building is now closed for the rest of this evening.

⚡ UPDATE ON THE POWER CUT

Unfortunately, our Skate UK lessons at 16:30 and 17:15 are cancelled while we continue to work on resolving the issue.

Further communication has been sent via the app and email. We are currently monitoring the situation for the 18:00 and 19:00 lessons and will provide a further update as soon as we know more.

👋 Meet our General Manager, Cameron Pollard!

Cam started his journey at Ice Sheffield back in 2008, serving skates and stewarding our Ice Public Sessions. ⛸️ Over the years, he’s taken on new challenges, grown with the team and become a familiar face around the rink.

Earlier this year, Cam stepped into his new role as General Manager — and we couldn’t be happier to have him leading the team! 🙌

From serving skates to running the show… what a journey! 👏

⛸️✨ First ice skating lesson at Ice Sheffield? Here’s what to do when you arrive! 🧊
Not sure where to go or what happens when you get there? Don’t worry — we’ve got you covered! 👇
📍 1. Check in at reception
Let reception know your name and skating level — Level 1, Level 2, etc.
🚗 2. Sort your parking
Type your car registration number into the system for 2.5 hours of free parking.
⬇️ 3. Head downstairs
Make your way downstairs and hand over your shoes to swap them for your ice skates ⛸️
🧤 4. Head to the ice
For Level 1, head to where Lauren is on the ice. Your coach will meet you there and complete the register with you.
😊 And that’s it! You’re ready to get on the ice and start your skating journey! ❄️⛸️
