Sadly our William Tyler /Horse Loom gig has had to be cancelled due to unforseen Visa Complications form the usa. Seriously the world is......!!!! complicated!!!!
We hope to be able to sort something in the future.

From Leeds, JD Roberts - Jon frequently records outdoors, weaving his woodwind and electronics around live birdsong. He will be bringing his beautiful responses to the natural world indoors, drawing on ambient, jazz and folk.

September Gigs are almost upon us @ Bishops' House.

Ayami's recent releases for Students of Decay, Longform Editions, Ftarri and Cosima Pitz showcase her singular approach to vocal ambient music, often fusing her ethereal vocals with environmental sounds in a way that feels formless, immersive and expansive all at once.

Erin Lang (Foundling) & Jorhito Briseño plus support from Ric Booth
Creating a dreamspace for feeling held, and a mysterious conjuring of shadowy depths
Erin Lang is a Canadian‐born, Berlin‐based vocalist, bassist, harpist, and composer. She is the creative force behind Foundling, a project known for its emotionally resonant blend of ambient, indie folk, dream pop, and experimental music. Her work often explores themes of care, liminality, and presence, bridging song, sound art, and meditative listening. She has toured extensively across Europe and North America, including over 70 performances supporting Agnes Obel at venues such as the Berlin Philharmonie, Le Grand Rex, and Le Trianon in Paris and many others.

Jorhito Briseño (Rêyzen) is a sound artist, dj and percussionist working at the intersection of improvisation, somatic practice, and deep listening. His work focuses on vibration, breath, and the physical experience of sound, using acoustic and overtone‐rich non-traditional instruments
to create immersive sonic environments.

Saturday 15th August - Two approaches to traditional folk song - from the dark hurdy gurdy drone folk of Joshua Arnold and Therine to the airy, haunting stylings of Alison Cooper's Magpahi, this promises to be an enchanting and beguiling evening

Sunday 16th August - Two outstanding musicians bring their unique takes on the wonder of woodwind!

Jude Rees's Madrigirl project marries medieval woodwind instruments like the shawm, border bagpipes, crumhorn with electronics, the rest being a life-affirming exploration of the joys of polyphony.

Support comes from Juliana Day, enigmatic layerings of low-end recorder taking you on a deep and slowly evolving journey of breath and tone.
