Some beers are more than a pint. They’re part of Sheffield’s story. 🍺

Stones Bitter was first brewed at the Cannon Brewery in Neepsend and went on to become the UK’s best-selling bitter through the 1960s and 70s.

It was originally brewed with Sheffield steelworkers in mind, with extra minerals in the water to help replace what they lost during a hard shift in the works.

That’s proper local heritage, served in a glass. At The Anvil, we’re proud to raise a pint to Sheffield’s people, industry and brewing history.
