This Thursday’s session will be a one-off FIDE rated Standardplay game.

80 10 time control. £4 for entry in advance, or £5 on the day.

Entries in advance preferred to ensure that everyone has an opponent, though we do have a player on standby in case of odd numbers.

Working to develop junior and adult chess in Sheffield and the surrounding area. Weekly sessions, ECF & FIDE-rated events, and major congresses.

A tiring morning for volunteers as they clean the cafe. First step; move everything and watch out for the chess pieces which jump off the board when you pick the table up!

Update: After four rounds of mopping the floor is dry and the tables and chairs return ♟️
