The Tirith are one of the new UK-based Progressive / Classic Rock Bands. The band has a long history stretching back to the 70s, the present band reformed in 2010 and have been playing festivals and select gigs since 2011. The Tirith played a set at Steel City Prog in Sheffield on Sat 19th Sept with our reserve drummer Chris Richards. The set went like this. Intro, Quetzalcoatl, The Slide, Moon King, Rabbit Ings, Dancing With Vampires, Save The Oak, Masters of Highways, Return of the Lydia, Farewell Fair Laurien, Gin Lil. Heres the Pics.

Don’t support HRH, they are a bunch of crooks, and we are one of the bands they still owe money to. 3 1/2 years, you couldn’t make it up!

Would you BELIEVE it - well I suppose you probably would...

Yet ANOTHER band - Earthdust - has got in touch to say they are ALSO still unpaid from their performance at the last HrH prog rock festival!!

I am having trouble squashing all the bands onto the "Situation Panel"

SO - we have NINE bands still UNPAID either promised performance fees, merch money, or both...:-

Because we didn't highlight the "non payment of bands" issue until June this year, because we were all waiting to see if we would get paid, we know that will have already purchased non-refundable tickets for HRH Prog 16, coming up THIS November (12th - 15th). This means it would only be right for already booked to play for them...

HOWEVER - it would seem to us that - if the bands waiting to be paid their fees from the 2025 HRH Prog Festival and earlier years - have NOT been paid by the weekend of HRH Prog 16 (November 12th - 15th) - then it would only be right NOT to support future HRH Prog events - so HRH Prog 17, in 2027 and beyond - so we suggest that bands should refuse to play and potential festival goers should refrain from buying tickets... It would only be fair...

Let's see what happens... HOPEFULLY all the bands with payments outstanding will be paid by the weekend of HRH Prog 16 (12th - 15th November) and we will all feel OK to support future HRH Prog Festivals...😉
