Niels Van Oorsouw- Knave of Hearts 🫅🏼

Hey! My name is Niels van Oorsouw, 23 years old and I come from Haarlem, the Netherlands. Currently I am studying in Berlin, Germany at a Preparatory year for Musical Theatre. My dream is to be on stage in Broadway Musicals. I have some experience, which you could see better on my profile/ Linktree.

I met Ewan through a Tiktok Live Stream of a friend of mine and then got invited to the project. I am thrilled to be a part of this!

Holly Lawless- Alice 👩🏻‍🦰

Hi, I’m Holly! I am a second year Vocal Studies student at The Arden School of Theatre. I am an aspiring musical theatre performer and I haven’t had much experience in the past so this project is so exciting to me!

I first became involved with the show a couple of years ago so I’m really excited to be involved in this project. I’m so happy to play a small part in finally bringing this fantastic show to the world!

Liv Wortley- Queen of Hearts 👸🏻

I’m Liv, a 22 year old Performing Arts Graduate from Sheffield. I have been performing for as long as i can remember and it is always something that has been a passion of mine. My favourite role I’ve played over the years definitely has to have been Rizzo in Grease. I’ve been involved with the Alive project since the very beginning, so there’s a huge piece of my heart in this show. I’m super excited to finally let this show see the light of day!

Naomi Conway- Duchess 👩‍🍼

Hey Hey, I’m Naomi Conway and I’m so very excited for the Alive Project. I have always been incredibly passionate about my involvement in the performing arts industry. I went to uni and secured my degree in acting and have been very fortunate to open up Footsteps Theatre LTD a performing arts school that nurtures self confidence and we are just about to launch a new theatre in Sheffield, The Bridge Theatre. I have been performing since the age of 14 and I can not wait to be part of this magical journey into Alive in Wonderland. The Duchess has given me the fantastic opportunity to stretch my musical abilities and build a character that has truly touched my heart and that I believe will be relatable to so many others.
I’m very excited to be working with an incredibly talented collection of creatives. See you down the rabbit hole 😉 xx

Rose Cleary- Duchess 🍼

My name is Rose Cleary and I am very excited to be involved in the Alive Project. I have been in quite a few productions with university and with amateur dramatic theatre societies. Some of my previous roles include Ralph in Kiss Me, Kate, Bride Ancestor in The Addams Family, and Amy in All the Little Lights. I first got involved with Alive in Wonderland in 2021, when I, at first, played the role of Knave of Hearts / March Hare and then I got to play the role of Duchess. I am thrilled to be participating in the Alive Project and I cannot wait for people to see all the hard work that everyone has put into it.

Lu Anthony- Mad Hatter 🎩

Hi, I’m Lu! Being brand new to this production, I’m very honoured and excited to be a part of this wonderful cast. I am a Nottingham based performer who has mainly worked in the last few years under my drag name ‘Ms Classpergers’ and have also been performing in the ammeter dramatics scene for around 7 years. Past productions include Cosmo Brown in Singin’ in the Rain, Angel in Rent, Nicely Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls and Silly Billy in Sleeping Beauty. Madness comes naturally to me so bring on the Mad Hatter I say!

MEET THE CAST
El Madeira- Mad Hatter 🫖

Hi my name is El! I’ve lived in Sheffield for 5 years, and after attending university- I now work locally as an Occupational Therapist. I have been publicly performing from the age of 16, starting out in pantomime. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to be cast in some fantastic productions. My most notable Musical Theatre roles have been Susan in Tick Tick Boom (2022) and Audrey in Little Shop Of Horrors (2019). I have also been a part of several music video projects, local cabarets and showcases, and directed shows such as The Tempest, Hamlet and Rocky Horror Picture Show. I got involved in Alive in Wonderland and held the role of the Mad Hatter in the 2021 cast. I have a passion for nonsense, the colour green, and a good cup of tea - and I am excited to be taking part.

TJ Kirkman- Cheshire Cat 😸

Hey hey there! My name’s TJ. I’m a q***r autistic performer, writer and musician who is a born and bred scouser, but is currently living in the south east. I have two creative writing degrees with focuses in poetry and fiction. I’ve been a performer since the age of 9 and have no signs of slowing down at 25! I’ve done a lot of mad things in my home city of Liverpool as well as at uni, from singing with Sir Paul McCartney to playing in musicals at every possible opportunity, captaining dance teams, performing professionally on a London stage and directing and editing virtual operas! You name it, I’ve at least given it a go! I’m so excited to be one of the Cheshire Cats in this wonderful project and am so excited to see where this idea goes.
