What a great night we had at First Friday Folk - August is always a worry when folks are away on holiday but we had a good audience and lots of floor singers. Thanks to Bruce Watson for 2 excellent sets - informative, funny and moving. We also had 3 newbies to FFF -great to hear them as well as all of the regulars. Thanks also to our audience.

Only 2more sleeps till our next First Friday Folk
- and it should be a good one - we’ve got Bruce Watson as this month’s 5 a side guest- all the way from Oz as part of his UK tour. Hope to see you all at The Commercial at 8 pm on Friday 7 August - as usual singers, musicians and audience all welcome.

Wow- another great evening - our guests Mountain Hares gave us 2 great sets with self penned songs and covers all delivered with brilliant harmonies- I loved the harp and Indian flute as well as great guitars.
Also some excellent floor singers. Thank you Mountain Hares and all the floor singers and audience.

Another great evening- Fretworks gave us 2 great sets. Good to hear Becky ( the newest member of the band) singing and the usual array of instruments.
