26 strings changed before starting recording the new album. Early start tomorrow to get to the studio in Huddersfield for 3 solid day's of recording. Doubt I'll have much of a voice left by Sunday evening when I get home!

We've not started recording the current album yet (less than 3 weeks until we hit the studio), but still writing and demoing songs for the next. As they say, "There's always another album!" 😂

It really does my head in! You pay well over a grand for an instrument and in some cases, several grand, and the manufacturer / luthier puts plastic bridge pins in the instrument! I can understand if you're buying something like a Yamaha fg up to the 800 series (which are brilliant guitars by the way) but a professional instrument? Come on!!!! I've just replaced these on one of my Taylors with ebony and it only cost a few pounds.

Just serviced and restrung my Thomas Buchanan Irish bouzouki, including replacing the plastic bridge pins with rosewood. It sounds absolutely phenomenal!

Time to practice a couple of new, lively little numbers for the upcoming gig season. One Scottish, one Welsh, both original! I can't wait for us to play them live for all you Wonderful River Folk!

I've seen lots of posts saying, "Don't buy American." I totally agree, not just because of Trump but, in my humble opinion, Japanese handmade guitars are far better and a lot cheaper!
