May 3, 4, 5, 10 & 11 (11am -5pm)
Two weeks today, we will be putting our group exhibition up ‘8 Artists from All Good Stuff’ in the historic Butcher Works, as part of Open Up Sheffield studios. There will be paintings, prints, silver jewellery, textiles, cards and woodwork.
We are all members of the friendly collective All Good Stuff at the Butcher Works. It’s the first time we have taken part as a group, so we are getting very excited and looking forward to sharing some of processes, our work in progress and chatting to visitors. The not-for-profit All Good Stuff shop next door will also be open. It stocks the work of around 50 local artists and makers.
The gallery is less than 10 minutes walk from the train station and near good places to eat (including the excellent Tamper, just across the road).

Our first Makers’ Market. Lots of lovely stuff from members of the All Good Stuff collective. I’ll be staffing the All Good Stuff at the Butcher Works shop next door, where you can find the work of over 50 Sheffield artists and makers. Pop in for a browse!

More gelli printing! Is it a boat, is it a river bank, is it a meadow?
A bit of an experimental print but I’m quite pleased with how it turned out. Learnt a few things by trial and error along the way, including (most usefully) that second layers can be washed off to some extent if the ink goes in the wrong place. It’s my biggest print so far 36x 50cm. Here are some of my other gelli prints.

Finished! Bempton Cliffs on a very sunny, blowy June day when the wind rifled through the grasses and the gannets just seemed to hang in the air. There were also lots of puffins but too small to feature in the painting. I love this magical place!
The painting will be heading to Scarborough soon but think that I’ll get it scanned first and some giclee prints made.
