Criterion Blue Town Welcome to Sheppey's hidden gem. We are a theatre, community cinema, tea room, accredited museum and a tourist destination for coach parties.

We have disabled access and hire out the venue for private parties and events. Oh, and we have free parking. The Criterion Blue Town is a registered charity run almost entirely by volunteers. The centre offers a theatre and cinema with a vast array of shows and events to suit all tastes, a musuem with a number of displays showing the vast historical significance of the area. hments in our tea room! We are open Tuesday to Saturday and cater for coach tour operators and disabled guests.

How did you celebrate the full moon last night?
Here at the Criterion we hosted a sound bath from Cosmic Connections UK.
It was eerie yet strangely relaxing to hear the crystal singing bowls vibrating in time with the earth’s natural frequency.

What a wonderful surprise today!
Ace wildlife photographer Robert Canis Photography from Sittingbourne popped in with a sneak preview of his magical new 208-page book all about Sheppey's award-winning Elmley Nature Reserve.
We are hoping to have copies for sale here at the Criterion Blue Town shortly.
We also asked Robert if he would mind giving a talk for next year's Festival of Sheppey about how he managed captured the stunning pictures over the past 30 years.
