And that's a wrap!

Thank you to all that came to see our production of 'The Importance of Being Earnest' over the last two weeks, we hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!

If you miss us already, we have our monthly quiz this Friday (29th May) in Shawbury Village Hall at 7:30pm, and we're back on the stage on 30th July to 1st August with 'How The Other Half Loves' by Alan Ayckbourn, featuring some of the wonderful cast of Earnest!

A quick share for anyone attending our productions of The Importance of Being Earnest this weekend! The bar opens at 7pm, so you can avoid the closure on the way in!

Part of the A53 near Shrewsbury will be closed overnight from Mon 18 to Sat 23 May for work as part of a speed reduction scheme.

🚧 During the work the road will be closed from Battlefield A49 junction to the Bings Heath junction from 7pm to 5am each night.

ℹ️ The work will see the introduction of a new 50mph speed limit from the Battlefield roundabout to Bings Heath, a section that is currently national speed limit. The change will promote lower vehicle speeds and improve road safety along the route. Some maintenance is also being undertaken on the existing road signs and road markings.

During the closure access to the work areas will be maintained for the following

- Residents living within the closure
- Emergency vehicles
- Businesses located within the closure
- Utility or public service vehicles

↖️ For all other traffic a signed diversion will be place. Depending on their vehicle type, road users may be able to choose an alternative diversion route.

Shawbury Village Players - Annual General Meeting

Just a quick reminder that our AGM will take place on Wednesday 25th March 2026. This meeting will be held in the library of Shawbury Village Hall at 7:30pm
