Stephen Moffat's 'The Unfriend' is a laugh-out-loud comedy that cheekily takes the mickey out of how Brits will do just about anything to avoid offending someone, no matter how awkward things get. With snappy dialogue and plenty of fun moments, the play really sends up the British knack for beating around the bush, making for a cracking good laugh.

🎭 Sunshine, sausages & scripts… what more could you want?! 😂 🎭☀️

Back in August, the cast of our first play of the season ‘The Unfriend’ were treated to a very special read-through and BBQ in the sunshine. ☀️🍔

You don’t often get a rare treat like that, so a huge thank you to our Director Jason and his lovely wife and cast member Catherine for making it such a lovely afternoon. ❤️

Even Frank Spencer’s chicken Mr Lindberg made an appearance! 😂🐔 Andof course, one of our theatre dogs Floss was to join in too! 🐶❤️

A wonderful afternoon was had by all, and we can’t wait for this one! 🎭👏

🎭 Infini Productions are coming to Lyceum Theatre Oldham on 9th August 🎭

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 STARS FROM PLAYHOUSE 2!

We’re delighted to see our friends at Infini Productions back in Oldham this Sunday with their acclaimed production of ‘Adrift’, before heading to the Edinburgh Festival! 🎭

‘Adrift’ was one of the early ‘Studio Productions’ at Playhouse 2.
We first discovered the play at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and, after seeing how much audiences enjoyed it — and being equally impressed ourselves — we invited Infini Productions to bring it to Playhouse 2. Our audiences loved it. It was a real favourite! ❤️

Although we couldn’t host Infini Productions this time, we’re thrilled they’ll be performing at Lyceum Theatre Oldham as part of Dare to Know Theatre’s Dare to Create Arts Festival.

Writer and director George also previously brought us ‘Service’, a production we loved so much that we went on to produce it ourselves as part of our main season.

So, if you love independent theatre, go and support ‘Adrift’ this Sunday!
We’ll be there to support and we hope you will be too.🎭👏

Infini Productions are travelling from Wales to the Lyceum Theatre Oldham this Sunday with their acclaimed production of ‘Adrift’ before heading to the Edinburgh Festival.

Previously praised by audiences at Playhouse 2, we’re thrilled to see them back performing in Oldham as part of Dare to Know Theatre’s Dare To Create Arts Festival.

Let’s fill the theatre and send them to Edinburgh Fringe Festival on a high!

Playhouse 2 may be closed for refurbishments but you can still get your arts and entertainment fix at the five Oldham venues hosting Dare to Know Theatre’s Dare to Create Arts Festival.

You’ll see some familiar Playhouse 2 faces amongst the lineup at 1853 Studios!

Eleanor Prestwich and Tracey Rontree can be seen in ‘Everything that shouldn’t been’ written by our DTK friend Jake Talbot and directed by long-time Playhouse 2 actress, director and more recently drama facilitator Miranda Parker. (Mill 1 - 1853 Studios)

You can also see Jake Scott who joined the Playhouse 2 family last season in ‘Incident Room’ stars in his self-written play ‘White Noise.’ (Mill 2 - 1853 Studios)
