A big THANK YOU to everyone who supported the first Dorset Tractor Fest last weekend 🙏 Whether you bought tickets or exhibited, you played a part in establishing this new event and we are immensely grateful 🚜💚

Despite the challenging weather 🌧 we were very pleased with how it went. Of course we learnt some lessons and have a list of improvements to make but this was always going to be the case with a new festival, concept and venue. The feedback we've received has been overwhelmingly positive and there is a lot of excitement for the future within our team 🥰

One thing we guarantee is: DTF will be back bigger and better in 2027 💪 so please watch this space!

👑👑 Royalty update 👑👑

Due to a change in circumstances since announcing our 2026 Royalty, we are now two Grandparents down. As a result, Shaftesbury Carnival is delighted to announce that 2026 will see the crowning of our very first Carnival Grandad!
A new chapter in our carnival tradition begins, and we can't wait to share it all with you.

We’re looking for new members to come along, share their ideas, and help shape this year’s carnival. Whether you’re full of creative ideas or just want to get involved in your community, we’d love to see you there.

🚜 DTF 2026 🚜

What a weekend for ourselves and Kipling Carnival Club! Providing over 30 volunteers a day for three days, we helped Barefoot Productions at the Dorset Tractor Fest with the below tasks:

🚗 Car parking
🚸Crossing patrol
🗑️Litter picking
🅿️ Production parking
🏕️ Tent Parking
🅿️ Car park set up and marking

We had lots of opportunities to be involved in so many elements of this event.

The team stood down at 2330 last night after starting at 0700 on Friday morning.

This newly formed partnership with Kipling was the only way to cover such a large high profile event and we are grateful to them for the support and commitment.

Proud to have supported 🚜

We’re incredibly grateful to Shaftesbury Carnival for raising an outstanding £2,000 from their annual Christmas tractor run last December!

Our wonderful volunteer George recently attended the cheque presentation and was proud to receive this generous donation on behalf of the charity.
