Weekend 1, that's a wrap. ❤️

Thank you. Not just for turning up, but for how you turned up.

The sky threw everything it had at us this weekend, and you didn't blink. You danced in it. You played in it. You laughed in it, and you cheered your Patrol on through it. In ponchos, in glitter, in masquerade ball gowns that deserved better weather. When the drones finally lifted above the trees, later than planned, you were there to celebrate the incredible weekend we all shared. It's something we won't forget in a hurry.

We can build the site, book the bands, and put on the activities. But the joy! We can't manufacture that. That was all you.

Weekend 2, we hope you were watching, because Weekend 1 sang louder, stayed later and smiled through more weather than any camp we can remember, and they've set the bar unreasonably high. Your turn on Friday. Show us what you've got.

Weekend 1: sleep in, drink water, check that camera roll and be very proud of yourselves. It was one of the best Weekends we've ever had, and that was your doing. And if you'd like to do it all again, Veterans, check your inboxes 👀

🚨Camp Wildfire Weekend Two Fire Safety Update🚨

It has been a long, dry summer, so there are extra fire precautions this year.

We agreed on these with our safety advisors, our forest management team, and Kent Fire and Rescue. Here is what changes, and why.

No campfires. Our two campsite campfires have been replaced with a fire-free centrepiece to gather around. Do not bring or use barbecues of any kind, including disposable ones, charcoal, firelighters, wood or Swedish logs, candles, tealights, oil lamps, flaming lanterns, fire pits, chimineas, sky lanterns, fireworks, sparklers or flares.

Cooking. If you can eat from our street food traders instead, please do. Every stove that stays at home is one less thing that can go wrong. If cooking for yourselves is what makes the weekend affordable, or someone in your group has dietary requirements our traders cannot meet, bring an approved stove and use it only in the cooking areas.

Smoking and va**ng. Permitted areas only, all marked on the map you are given on entry. Every smoker can pick up a free pocket ashtray at the gates, and there are sand buckets positioned around the site. A cigarette dropped in the wrong place is the single most likely way a fire starts in the forest.

If you see or smell smoke, tell the nearest member of our team straight away. Any Ranger, steward, Activity Leader, security, bar or crew member will do, and every one of them can reach event control by radio or phone. Spotting something early is what keeps a small problem small. It is the most useful thing you can do for all of us this weekend.

🚨 ­Fire Safety Update 🚨

It has been a long, dry summer, so we have put extra fire precautions in place this year, agreed with our safety advisors, our forest management team, and Kent Fire and Rescue.

Please take 5 minutes to read these fire safety rules to help us keep everyone safe and look after the forest this summer.

­Fire Safety Guide:

🪵­No Campfires
Our two campsite campfires have been replaced with a fire-free centrepiece to gather around instead.

🔁­Activity Changes
Fire Lighting is now Survival Skills, and Bread Baking is now Bug Hotels. If you were enrolled in either, we have moved you across.

­🍳Cooking
If you can eat from our street food traders instead, please do. Every stove that stays at home is one less thing that can go wrong. Click here to see the food menus.

If cooking for yourselves is what makes the weekend affordable or more accessible, then bring an approved stove and use it only in the cooking areas.

Anyone cooking outside a cooking area will be asked to leave the event and will not receive a refund.

­🚭Smoking & Va**ng
Smoking and va**ng are allowed only in certain areas.

These are all marked on the map you will be given on entry.

Every smoker can pick up a free pocket ashtray at the gates on arrival, and there are sand buckets positioned around the site.

Anyone caught smoking or va**ng outside the open areas will be asked to leave the event without a refund.
