£533 Total raised at this week's St Georges Day Quiz, thank you to everyone who came, enjoyed, heckled etc!

Out of 8x teams, commisserations went to "Slim Chance" who earnt themselves the much coveted commemorative wooden spoons.

And congrats to "We don't know Jack" who won with a whopping 89 points... And they went away with a bottle of wine each to celebrate.
There was only 6 points between them and joint 2nd place "Rex's Team" and "The Dreamies."

Questions such as:
"What is the next line from this song:
'Wake up, Maggie, I think I got somethin' to say to you'"

"How many mm in a km?"
.. And tricky one...
How many X on each clock face of the Queen Elizabeth Tower (that houses Big Ben?

Not only that but we all enjoyed English Sausage-n-mash curtesy of The Blacksmiths Arms, who also donated the winning prize wine to thankyou to Tony & Nadine.

The cash will be added to the Cudham Craic Charity Fund for next time we agree on a good local cause to support. If you have any suggestions please comment them below and why.

THANK YOU to all who came and supported our The St George’s Day Pub Quiz & Meal, Blacksmith’s Arms.
Together with the raffle we raised £816.50, which will be added to the Cudham Craic Charity Fund to spend on good causes in the village so THANK YOU to everyone who came.

We will let you know what we spend the fund on... Please comment below with any suggestions. The fund currently stands at £2565.

We enjoyed a lovely sausage-n-mash meal, kindly provided for free by Tony & Nadene.
Along with 5x rounds of fun English questions, such as
Q - “Name the country St George freed from the Dragon,”
Q - Who invented the “every flavour” bean?
Q - What does “Antepenultimate” mean,
Q - What song did Katy Perry sing in space,
The famous “Name that English Tune” round,
and a whole round of retro advertising slogans
(“They're tasty tasty very very tasty they're very tasty…”)

…And Philip’s favourite LOTR question: “In Lord of the Rings, According to the rhyme of Lore, how many rings of power are there in total?”

At the end of the night there were only 6x points within the top half of the leaderboard, with a draw for first place and a tie-breaker shoot-out between regulars “CPR” and “Token Bloke”… naming as many Jungle Book characters as they could in 30 seconds. CPR won but gallantly shared the prize between both teams anyway, which was 6x bottles of Blacksmith’s Arms house wine… generously donated for free by Tony & Nadene; THANK YOU!
..oh and we gave out 3x prizes from the cash raffle; 3x lucky winners of £70, f20 and £tenner. Congrats to them 👏

Next quiz will be the Christmas Quiz in December, SEE YOU THERE!
