I began my art journey during the late 1970’s whilst studying for my Art Diploma at The Laird School of Art on the Wirral. Landscapes and wildlife were my favourite subjects. I later worked as a Customs Officer in Liverpool. I always carried a sketch book and some watercolours with me so that I could spend my lunch breaks painting ships on the River Mersey and making pencil drawings of the Three G

races at the Pier Head. Following an accident at work, my spine was severely injured and I was unable to continue with my Career. The urge to create art helped to restore my confidence and brought joy back into my life. I still love to paint animals to this day. I spend my holidays at a friend’s country cottage in the beautiful Lake District. Here I take photographs of the amazing wildlife in this part of the world. When I return home, it is so exciting to browse through my photos and select which of them will be relayed to canvas. Exotic wildlife is another passion and it is a subject that is very close to my heart. As a member of The World Wildlife Fund for Nature, I want to help endangered Wild animals and their habitats around the world. I would love to be able to contribute to this cause through the sale of my art. 10% of my profits are donated to The World Wildlife Fund.

Street scene in St ives Cornwall
The ochre lichen encrusted roofs of St Ives, Cornwall are a fascinating and beautiful natural phenomenon. I love being in this part of the world as it is the perfect place to sketch and paint. The light here always strikes me as being a kind of soft glow which is perfect for the creation of any type of artwork. Looking out at the azure sea, I feel as though I’m in the Mediterranean! The vibe here is very laid back, with surfers, swimmers and holiday makers all enjoying this magical place. The town is surrounded on three sides by golden sands and reflective seas. This painting is an original acrylic on canvas board, 12 inches by 12 inches. It is signed on the back. Please DM me for prices -art

Street scene, St Ives Cornwall. There is a timeless, laid back vibe in this part of Cornwall. Sun,sand, sea and artists! After the Second World War, this tiny fishing village transformed itself into an influential art colony and is now renowned around the world. This painting is from one of many sketches I made whilst in Cornwall in 2019. This is an original acrylic painting on sealed canvas board. It is signed on the back. The size is 12 inches x 12 inches. This painting is taken from a photograph whilst I was in New Hampshire USA. The iconic Western Star is known as the Trucker’s truck for its emphasis on the comfort and safety of the driver.
It traces its roots to the White Trucks line, a builder of commercial vehicles since the dawn of the trucking industry.
It certainly is a big beast, beautiful in its own way but also, as depicted in my artwork, it’s a reminder of the battle between nature and big commerce 🍂🌳🚚
