Finally …no more ‘work in progress’ updates as I am finished - hooray 👍
Ironically it’s finished on Lammas, (witchy calendar), the 1st August. It’s only taken me 5 months from start to finish 😬

Five months of dedicated graft with a vision. To turn a neglected garden area into something beautiful. There’s 4 parts to the garden now, as opposed to it just being an ivy invasion.

It now attracts bees, butterflies, voles, mice, moles, bats and the neighbours cats 🤣

The garden project is nearly done, on the last leg now sorting out the walkway into the garden as there’s a dodgy step 😳...

Put 2 bricks into the step to set in mortar. Looking at using crazy paving for the top to blend in with the gravel - that’s the plan anyway 👍👍

Due to the weather stopping me going into the garden this last week, I continued with an inside project on mum’s wardrobe.

In 2024, after dad passed away in the January and mum being diagnosed with Dementia in the August of the same year, I worked with mum on her bedroom decor to lift her spirits up after her diagnosis.

I up cycled her dresser mirror with white paint and the use of a blue wallpaper pattern, depicting flowers such as foxgloves, poppies and daisies.

This year she wanted me to blend her wardrobe in to match the mirror, so she chose the flower prints that were subtle in the wallpaper print.

I cleaned the wardrobe with cleaner first, then used enamel metallic silver paint to do the wardrobe insets, covering the dull gold with silver to revitalise it. I cleaned the 13 door/drawer handles that were a brass colour and spray painted them a pale grey.

Finally, I painstaking cut out the chosen flowers and used PVA to adhere and cover.

The result has a French chateau charm to it and glad to say that Mum loves it ❤️

WIP - This week has seen a top soil delivery for the wildlife area, a new fence on the right side, (which had previously just been a gap) and awaiting a new gate this week 👍

It’s all coming together nicely. Into month 4 now 🙂 the jobs are getting that bit easier thank goodness 😜 certainly felt it in the joints these last few months.

My body is telling me what age it is 🤣🤣

Garden Project WIP - been digging out the area where the upcycled wheelbarrow is going to be the frog pond 👍 🐸

It will be covered in pond tarp before settling it in properly.

More plants & shrubs purchased for the circle area and a 60’s psychedelics theme going on.

It would be a bit rude not to include a 60’s theme, especially since I’m a hippy chick & born in the 60’s 🤣🤣

Wow haven’t we had some beautiful sunshine…the last few days has certainly raised everyone’s vitamin D levels… whoo hoo...

A few jobs done on the garden project. All the gravel has been laid in the two areas, the seating and the meditation area.

It’s looking more like a garden now.

Sorting out the wildlife part of the garden this week and awaiting the delivery of some top soil to get it started.

Using a wheelbarrow and upcycling it for a makeshift pond 👍

Had 2 tons of gravel delivered today so it’s been a back breaker shovelling it into the garden area. Still it’s settled...

Had 2 tons of gravel delivered today so it’s been a back breaker shovelling it into the garden area. Still it’s settled now, but just need a half ton top up for the main seating area and it’ll be tickety boo.

The top part has sufficient gravel coating, so I put together the bench and put up the solar lamp.

It’s getting there 👍progress, progress 👍
