Come and say hello and find out more about everything happening at the Mill this year. From inspiring exhibitions and creative workshops to our talented resident makers and textile heritage, there’s always something to discover.

Whether you’re a knitter, spinner, weaver, felter, or simply love all things wool, we’d love to meet you. Stop by our stand for a chat and pick up information about upcoming events, exhibitions and opportunities to get involved.

🍰 We're Hiring: Tea Room Chef 🍰

We're looking for a talented and enthusiastic Chef to join our friendly team at Farfield Mill.

Our popular Tea Room welcomes thousands of visitors each year to enjoy homemade food, great coffee and a relaxing atmosphere in our historic Victorian mill.

If you love preparing fresh, homemade food, enjoy developing seasonal menus and take pride in creating a great experience for customers, we'd love to hear from you.

📍 Farfield Mill, Sedbergh
⏰ Full-time, permanent position
💷 £27,560 per annum
🗓 Closing date: Sunday 28 June, 5pm

As our Tea Room Chef, you'll work in colaboration with the Tearoom Manager to help shape and develop our food offer, catering for visitors, groups and special events while maintaining the high standards our visitors enjoy.

🦋 Today is the final day of Metamorphosis.

Over the past months we have been privileged to share an extraordinary exhibition showcasing the creativity, skill and imagination of so many textile artists exploring the theme of transformation.

From intimate stitched stories to ambitious sculptural works, the exhibition has celebrated the endless possibilities of textiles and contemporary craft.

Thank you to every artist who entered, our shortlisted artists, judges Jan Beadle, Cas Holmes and Marie Wallin, and everyone who visited and voted for the People’s Choice Award.

If you haven’t seen it yet, this is your last chance.
