Yesterday I did something I genuinely wasn’t sure I could do…
I took my little stained glass business to its very first craft market.
I sold a few things, met some lovely people, chatted about my work all day… and I absolutely loved it.
But the biggest achievement wasn’t the sales.
It was finishing.
I’m autistic and have ADHD, and one of the things I struggle with most isn’t starting projects… it’s seeing them through to the end. My brain fills up with hundreds of thoughts all at once, every tiny job feels connected to ten more, and before I know it I’m overwhelmed and doubting myself.
For a long time I thought that meant I wasn’t organised enough, confident enough or capable enough.
Yesterday proved otherwise.
I didn’t suddenly become someone who has it all together.
I just learned to slow down, break things into small steps and stop expecting myself to do everything at once.
By the time I sat behind my stall, I wasn’t panicking.
I wasn’t rushing.
I just looked around and thought…
“I did it.”
That feeling is something I’ll carry with me for a long time.
If you’ve been putting something off because your brain feels busy, tangled or overwhelming, I hope this reminds you that progress doesn’t have to look perfect.
Sometimes it looks like one tiny step.
Then another.
Until one day you look around and realise you’ve built something you once thought was impossible.
I’m really proud of myself today.
Not because everything went perfectly…
But because I finally trusted myself enough to see something through.
And I can’t wait for the next one. 🌈💛
