Over the course of this week, we’ll be doing a bucket collection at the shows in support of two amazing charities we’re proud to be backing this year. If you have any spare change while you’re there, please consider donating, every little bit truly makes a difference and goes a long way.
The Children’s Heart Surgery Fund supports
individuals with congenital heart disease and
their families. Their mission is to enable
children, adults and families affected by CHD to
live empowered lives through family support
and by fundraising for vital resources for the
Leeds Congenital Heart Unit and region. They
fund staff training, scientiÞc research and new
clinical roles as well as providing essential family support and life saving
medical equipment. The charity is wholly funded by donations and
because of the general public, the charity has been able to help over
17000 babies, children and adults living with CHD each year.
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution
(RNLI) is the largest lifeboat service
operating around the coasts of the UK,
Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of
Man as well as some inland waterways. It
is principally funded by legacies and
donations and most of its lifeboat crews
are unpaid volunteers. They operate more
than 400 lifeboats from 238 stations and
paid lifeguards provide services at nearly
250 beaches. The RNLI also provides free
safety advice to many different groups of people and has been involved
in international cooperation since 1924. Your support is needed to help
fund the improvement of rescue equipment, lifeboats and lifeboat
stations, to assist in training and education to keep everyone safe in the
water and to fund over 1500 seasonal lifeguards across the country.
Your money saves lives in so many ways!
