Today we want to tell you about some of the ideas behind Paula Briggs tiny tile magnets. Currently exploring historic pattern through a combination of traditional floral motifs and hand drawn imagery, will you find a golden fingerprint representing the forgotten female decorators, or the iconic lion amongst the flowers…

Our Curious Keepsake Machine can now be found at its last stop on its current tour - 20-21 Visual Arts Centre in Scunthorpe, giving visitors the chance to take home an original and limited edition piece of handcrafted art for just £1.

You have until 21 November to check it out for yourself!

11 lucky visitors each day will be able to purchase a token and the Curious Keepsake Machine will then dispense a surprise gift to take home, created by one of 8 artists involved in the project: Nicki Jarvis, Laura Mabbutt, Kathleen Smith, Paula Briggs, Ann Povey, Sharon Dickinson, Angela Ibbs and Caroline Matthaei.

Funded through an Arts Council England National Lottery Project Grant, and with support from Design Nation, the aim of this project is to bring artwork to new audiences.
