An incredible day for our BTEC students visiting the Emmerdale set at ITV Television Centre! 🎬

They gained first-hand insight into the TV industry, explored what life on set is like, and discovered exciting opportunities right here in Yorkshire.

At Hatton College, we’re proud to explore all aspects of performing arts ensuring our students get the very best opportunities to grow, learn and succeed in the entertainment industry.

A massive thank you to the ITV Academy team, especially Bethan, Ali and Isobel, for such an inspiring and memorable experience 😃 and where would the Television Centre be without the best receptionist ever, Lorna, so welcoming and hilarious 😂 fabulous day all round.

Huge congratulations to our fabulous alumni George Schmuck, who has started rehearsals for the iconic Queen Mary 2 with Cunard 🚢✨

This marks George’s fourth professional contract in just two years since graduating — an amazing achievement and a brilliant reflection of his dedication, talent, and the strength of the training he received at Hatton College & Hatton Performing Arts.

Between contracts, George is always back in the studio with us, continuing to train and develop his skills, and we’re excited to see his continued growth in such an incredible performing opportunity.

We are all so proud of your success, George, and can’t wait to see where this exciting journey takes you next 💙

From the moment you stepped on stage, you showed confidence, growth, and true passion for your craft. It was a celebration not just of talent, but of your journeys, your individuality, and the hard work you’ve all put in along the way 🌟

At Hatton College, we don’t ask students to audition to join us. We believe in giving every student the opportunity, and more importantly, the tools, training, and support to succeed — not just in performing arts, but in the wider world beyond the stage.

Tuesday night was proof of exactly that. You all stepped up, supported one another, and delivered something really special ❤️

As a work based learning centre, our practical training is designed to develop industry-ready performers across a wide range of disciplines. This showcase gives you the opportunity to see that training in action — from high-energy commercial and sharp jazz to powerful contemporary and musical theatre flair. Each piece reflects the dedication, professionalism and growth our students demonstrate every day.

Our drama students will present DNA, a gripping and thought-provoking production that highlights the depth and intensity of their acting training.
