✨️ Hannah Grahamslaw ✨️

Scarborough based print designer and illustrator, Hannah will be joining us at the Stitching Fair!
All of her quirky and original products are designed with fun, nostalgia and very often a love of the British seaside in mind!
She will be bringing pennant flags, bunting, and prints, designed and sewn by herself!
Perfect for anyone who wants to take a bit of the Yorkshire Coast home with them! 🌊

✨️ Illuminating Weaves ✨️

Ruth has a creative weaving studio in Tamworth, and is a Saori weaver, a Japanese style of weaving that embraces freedom and creativity. It's suitable for all ages and abilities, with very few rules, encouraging you to reflect, play and explore.
On the day, she will be bringing handwoven and felted gifts, needle felting and weaving kits and supplies.
Whether you're already a weaver or curious to discover something new, I'm sure you'll love having a browse at her beautiful stall!

Another Sunday, another restaurant to try! 🤩 Today's recommendation was The Lookout On The Pier - Seafood with a view

We're happily testing out cafes and restaurants in Scarborough for those of you visiting us for The Stitching Fair at Scarborough Spa in August so you can make a day of it, or for anyone visiting Scarborough at any time really!
(And we're quite enjoying having an excuse to try some new places locally!)

You said "Lookout on the Pier has my favourite dish - seafood chowder!"

Huw and I celebrated our first anniversary here so we're very happy you suggested it, I think I had the seafood chowder then 😋

Today we each had The Bucket & Spade Special - salt & pepper squid, whitebait, scampi, Bubble Bobble shrimp served in a Bucket with sides of burnt lemon, harissa mayo, tartare sauce and sweet chilli! It was very plentiful, I could have easily been full from just sharing one! Huw had to finish mine! 😅

It came to £49.70 with drinks included for the 2 of us.
It's on the South Bay, about a 15 minute walk away from the Spa, a lovely view, it is small though so I'd recommend to book.

If there are any other cafes, restaurants or hidden gems you'd like us to try and share with visitors, let us know! It's a hard job but someone's got to do it 🤷‍♀️😅💙

And keep an eye out tomorrow morning - we'll have another stallholder announcement! 🤩

Treat yourself to a couple of hours to switch off, have a chat and make something beautiful to decorate your home - you can even choose colours to match the room your going to hang it in!

Bring a friend or come on your own, it's a great way to meet people if you're new to the area, and a nice way to get into crafting if you're a complete beginner 💙

One of the questions that came up at crochet last night -

🧶 Which is easier, knitting or crochet? 🤔

My answer?
I think knitting is easier to learn, but crochet is easier to fix when you make a mistake 😅

🧶 Crochet is quicker to work up and much more forgiving once you've got the hang of it

🧶 Knitting is often easier to pick up in the beginning, but dropping stitches can be a bit trickier to put right!
