As those who came to our tots group today are aware, Ria's husband and daughter were involved in a nasty car crash on Racecourse Road while on the school run this morning.

We just wanted to let everyone know that they're both okay and have no serious injuries, fortunately.

We send our love and best wishes to the family and hope to see them again soon. ❤️

New here? Here’s a little bit about me 👇

I’m Bronagh – PT, Online Coach, PE Teacher and Bodybuilder 💪

Growing up, sport was everything to me. I played Gaelic, Football, Badminton and Short Mat Bowls. One of my standout sporting moments was winning the WFAI Cup Final at Lansdowne Road in 2005 with Dundalk WFC.

Alongside sport, I followed another passion — teaching.

I’ve now been teaching for 18 years, working at:
🏫 Scalby School (Scarborough)
🏫 Westfield Academy (Yeovil)
🏫 Graham School (Scarborough)

I’ve been Head of PE at Graham for the past 3 years

But here’s the part most people don’t expect…

Despite being “sporty”, I struggled with my own fitness and nutrition at times.
I gained weight, felt uncomfortable in my own skin, and like so many people — searched for quick fixes. Diet pills, slimming clubs, more and more cardio, bootcamps, HIIT Training… but not seeing the results I wanted.

I genuinely believed I could out-train a bad diet 🤦‍♀️

Then I found strength training… and everything changed.

I was finally educated on nutrition and how to train with intent — and for the first time, I saw real, sustainable results 💪

That sparked something in me. I became obsessed with learning, improving, and pushing myself further.

That’s when bodybuilding entered my life.
I was put in touch with Jen — a female bodybuilder who quickly became so much more than a coach. A mentor, a friend, and someone who inspired me to step completely outside my comfort zone 🤍

✔️ Competed in my first bodybuilding season
✔️ 27-week prep
✔️ 3 shows across different federations

An experience that challenged me in every way — physically and mentally ✨

That journey is what led me into coaching.
I qualified as a Personal Trainer, launched my own business, and now help others:

👉 Gain confidence
👉 Understand what actually works
👉 Create a lifestyle they can sustain

We're delighted to announce that the fabulous Ria Machin has volunteered to run our Thursday morning toddler group, beginning next week, 16th April! ❤

As we no longer have to pay a member of staff, in even better news, we're also able to reduce our prices:

One child £2.50
Two children £4.00
Each additional child £1

We look forward to seeing everyone next Thursday!

We're trying hard to keep our toddler group, Milkshakes, open on Thursday mornings after the organiser sadly left. Is there anyone out there who could help out in a voluntary capacity? It's a lovely group and it would be a real shame if it were to close.
