A Tribute to ‘Tony’ — John Anthony Peers
December 7th, 1946 – July 23rd, 2025

Today, we said farewell to a man who could never simply arrive in a room — Tony made an entrance! ✨👏🏼

And what a fabulous celebration today was …..Tony’s life was one long performance in the very best sense — a masterclass in charisma, wit, and unapologetic flair. He had the timing of a seasoned comic, the heart of a leading man, and the generosity of a mentor who knew that the spotlight was big enough to share……

And his send-off was pure Tony — exactly as he would have wanted it……Today wasn’t sombre, it was a show: sequins, music, laughter, applause, and just a hint of mischief in the air ! ……at the very end, the audience rose to their feet, for one last standing ovation - applauding as their leading man made his final exit.

Because Tony didn’t just live a life in show business — he was show business.

The curtain may have fallen, but the joy, sparkle, and mischief he brought will keep playing in our hearts forever. Xx Thank YouTony Peers Ltd Ltd

A Word Or Two From The Writer & Producers of Hannah The Soldier Diaries

This chapter may have finished …..🥂

Or as we say in the business, that’s a wrap!! 🎬 ( For Now ! 😉)

We just wanted to say that your support has been ‘INCREDIBLE‘ and Team Hannah has been genuinely overwhelmed with gratitude for our local community that came along to laugh, sing and possibly shed a tear with us.

Your messages, comments and review’s have been fantastic and absolutely heartwarming….. for all those who came to see us THANK YOU 🙏 it really does mean so much. We totally understand that taking a leap of faith to support something NEW is often a BIG ! ask, But WOW did you leap and that is difficult to put into words but it won’t be forgotten….. x

So a huge heartfelt Thank You to EVERYONE 🙌 who made “Hannah the Musical” 🎶 come to life …..who helped give us that WOW factor !!!! To our phenomenal cast, our amazing dancers, to the whole of our dedicated background team, production team, set designs, lighting etc … We worked as a team and became a family: your talent, heart, and hard work brought this story to life in the most powerful way. We are in awe of you…. 🥰

We packed up our stuff from the theatre but don’t think we are slinking off anywhere well apart from the fact we are now enjoying a well earned holiday 😎 ( whose idea was it to producer two musicals consecutively !!!! 😂 ) but we can safely say we smashed it 👍

Also a huge thank you to all members of staff at Scarborough Spa they made each and everyone of us feel welcome 🙏 and it was such a privilege to bring not only Hannah The Soldier Diaries but Mod Crop The Musical , too this iconic building - Thank You x

And not forgetting all the families, friends, and supporters cheering us on—thank you for believing in this show from day one.

We made this together. And we’ll carry it with us, always. 💛

We want to say because of the overwhelming support and feedback from the public we are now in the process of making plans for the future; we will announce 📣 what that looks like in the next few weeks …..

A Personal Message To My Wonderful Twilight Crew (aka The Sparkly Army of Rhythm, Tap-Happy, Towel-Whooping Legends!!! ) 😆

Let me start by saying: you turned up — and then you turned it all the way up ! I am still reeling (and possibly slightly deaf in one ear) from the sheer volume of your support on closing night of Hannah: The Soldier Diaries – The Musical……🎶 You were loud, proud, and absolutely unhinged in the best way.

I expected applause…..Maybe a tasteful woo. 🙌 ok maybe a woo hoo ! But what we got was a full-on Twilight Productions takeover, complete with hollers, whoops, and an utterly scandalous reaction to the towel scene……Honestly, I don’t know what was louder — the music, or the collective gasp/scream/laughter from your section of the audience when that towel made its dramatic entrance (or exit, rather ! 😆 ). That scene may never be the same again-and neither will I. Truly iconic behaviour…. 😍

You’re not just friends — you’re family….A loud, glittery, rhythm-obsessed family who somehow manages to be supportive and slightly chaotic at all times…..And I wouldn’t trade you for anything. Except maybe a towel with a lock on it. 🤣

And then… that standing ovation. Seeing my crazy, beautiful musical family on their feet — clapping and cheering 📣 — completely overwhelmed me. It wasn’t just applause, it was love. Fierce, glitter-soaked, jazz-handed love.

You weren’t just watching — you were lifting us up . And I’ll never forget it. Ever…. Thank You ❤️

And just like that… the final performance of Hannah: The Soldier Diaries has come and gone. ❤️✨

What a ride it’s been — full of laughter, tears, backstage chaos, unforgettable music, and bonds that will last long after the last bow…..This show has truly been a blast, and we are beyond proud of what we’ve created together.

To our phenomenal cast, tireless crew, and every single person who supported us — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 🙏

And to our incredible audiences: you clapped, you cried, you stood with us. You made this story sing……🎶❤️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

As we hang up our uniforms and say goodbye (for now) to Hannah and her world, we carry her strength and spirit with us always.

Before we hit the stage one last time for Hannah the Soldier, the cast needed a little boost — cue the laughter, the warmups, the chaotic dance circles, and definitely too much sugar !!!! In the form of lots of ice cream 😂🍬💃🕺

From last-minute mic checks to group hugs and spontaneous singalongs (because of course), the backstage energy is sky-high tonight!!!!! 🚀❤️😉

Let’s go out with a bang, team — one final salute to this beautiful, brave, and bonkers journey….. 📕🎶❤️🎭💂‍♀️🌟

The cast and crew of Hannah: The Soldier Diaries are in full swing getting ready for today’s matinee performance! 💄🎶

Costumes are flying, hair is curling, and harmonies are echoing through the dressing rooms….. 🎶 There’s laughter, last-minute lchecks, and maybe a few rogue glitter explosions… but that’s showbiz! 😉

Whether it’s a quiet moment of reflection or a dance-off in the wings, we’re soaking up every second of the backstage magic before the curtain rises…..📕🎭👍🎶❤️

What a fabulous matinee we had earlier — full of heart, laughter, and a few tears too…..The audience was incredible, and the energy in the theatre was electric!

Now, we’re gearing up for our evening performance, and what better day to do it than Armed Forces Day 🇬🇧 — a time to honour the bravery, sacrifice, and resilience of those who serve. Hannah’s story feels especially powerful tonight, reminding us of the people behind the uniforms, and the untold strength in every letter, every farewell, and every homecoming.
