🎲 What a fantastic night at Sawtry Games Club! 🎲

The club was buzzing, with tables full of games and plenty of action throughout the evening.

Our Blood Bowl coaches were hard at work testing new players and refining team line-ups in a series of "pre-season friendlies" ahead of the new Peterborough & District Blood Bowl League season.

Over on the skirmish table, a game using the A Song of Blades and Heroes rules saw a band of Goblins attempting to transport an ancient ruin back to their council. Unfortunately for them, their journey through the woods was cut short by an ambush from Elves and Orcs!

Board gamers enjoyed Struggle for Catan, the card-based take on the classic gateway game, before later switching gears for a few rounds of Magical Athlete. With every character bringing unique abilities to the race, it delivered plenty of laughs and fast-paced fun.

Meanwhile, our RPG group continued their adventures, investigating mysterious locations and striking up conversations with some very unusual characters.

🎲 A quieter night at Sawtry Games Club... but no less fun! 🎲

With it being the final week of the school holidays, numbers were a little lower than usual this week, but that just meant more time to pack in some fantastic games!

🚴 We hit the road for a thrilling 6-player Flamme Rouge, battling it out in our very own Tour de Sawtry as riders sprinted, drafted and fought for victory.

🎌 Meanwhile, others were busy planning their dream getaway in Let's Go to Japan, exploring sights, experiences and creating the perfect holiday itinerary.

🔥 To round off the evening, we brought everyone together for a lively game of Flip 7. Luck, bravery, and perhaps a little greed all played their part! Some players couldn't catch a break, while others pushed their luck just a bit too far. Plenty of laughs and the perfect way to end the night.

It was another fun week at Sawtry Games Club. This week we had an Napoleonic battle, trying to learn the Black Powder rule set. There was also action on the Blood Bowl pitch. Our RPG crew also delved into a new story.

A few of us met up at the Social club on Sunday too for a Race across the world. A simple, but still strategic game, great for a Sunday afternoon.

🎲 What a fantastic Sunday session we had yesterday! Everyone who joined enjoyed an afternoon packed with fun, laughter, and friendly competition.

Here's what we got up to: ⚡ Quick-fire thinking in Junior 5 Second Rule 🛡️ Strategic battles in Stratego 🏘️ Route building and trading in Junior Catan 🛒 Memory-testing fun with Shopping List 🌙 Gravity-defying tower building in Catch the Moon

We also squeezed in another year of our ongoing Catan Campaign! The oracles were far from pleased with the Prophet and demanded even more gifts for the gods with every construction project. It was a very close game by the end, and we're excited to see what surprises Year 4 has in store.

🎲 Another fantastic night at Sawtry Games Club this week! 🎉

Our tables were buzzing with action as:
🍇 Three ambitious vintners competed to create the finest vineyard in old-world Tuscany.
🏈 Two coaches battled it out in a friendly-ish game of Blood Bowl (emphasis on ish 😅).
🧟 Four brave survivors fought to escape a relentless zombie horde.
🚂 And another four railway tycoons raced to build the greatest rail network across Europe in Ticket to Ride.

No two weeks are ever the same, and there's always a seat at the table for new players!

☀️ Summer holidays might be here, but Sawtry Games Club is still going strong!

Over the past few weeks we've enjoyed everything from the wonderfully chaotic World Spanner Factions, featuring a truly eclectic mix of characters, to hard-fought matches of Blood Bowl, some skillful Subbuteo action, and, of course, the usual RPG-inspired mayhem!

This Sunday sees the return of our popular Family Sunday Session. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just looking for something fun to do with the family, why not come along and join us? No need to bring any games—we have a selection available to play on the day (although you're welcome to bring your favourites too!).

Sawtry Games Club has been buzzing again this week!
Our Catan Legacy Campaign roared into action, with four Houses battling for Queen Catrina’s favour. Year One hit the island with a brutal winter, Year Two brought starvation, and just when hope was fading… a mysterious prophet restored fertility to the land. Classic Catan chaos.

On the tabletop battlefield, the Shang Chinese clashed with the Chou Chinese in a tense Chinese Civil War scenario. Tough terrain kept the chariots at bay, but clever manoeuvres on both sides meant the armies lived to fight another day.

Our RPG crew also pressed deeper into their adventures — more on that soon.

🔥 𝗦𝗮𝘄𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆!
Families rolled in, the big game box came out, and the tables were packed with fun from start to finish.

We blitzed through 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻, 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿, 𝟱 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿, 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗲𝘀, 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘁: 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹, 𝗔𝘇𝘂𝗹, 𝗦𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗮— pure chaos, pure joy.
And Blondie’s buffet? Gone in minutes. Enough said.

Sawtry Games Club was packed again this Tuesday!
We wandered through Tuscan vineyards in 𝘝𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦, watched heroes collide in 𝘉𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘉𝘰𝘸𝘭, and built beautifully balanced habitats in 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘚𝘩𝘶𝘧𝘧𝘭𝘦. A perfect mix of strategy, laughter, and great company.

Our 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 is just around the corner — come join the fun and try something new!
